I enjoy this lovely spot when I'm in the area. It is just as everyone has stated. My concern is the road side garbage on the way there and back on Allen road. Last year I picked up 5 large black bags of garbage!! From 19 to the bridge. A local went home and returned with extra bags and a thank you. One would think, since this a historical site, those in the area or city/town would care about impressions. I don't live here. I'm from Milwaukee and pick in my neighborhood. I figured since I live here a few months of the year, this is my community too, so I pick. If everyone who traveled the road regularly would spend 15min. It would make a difference. If an area is neglected, it invites neglect behavior and garbage. Thus a slum appearance. So sad. I'll be out Wed. doing it again with my long handled reacher, gloves and...

It just very nice Covered Bridge it's old and well-maintained you can walk across it but you cannot drive it although there are no trash cans or picnic tables there I believe that it would be a good place to have a picnic and to bring the kids there is a little creek running underneath it but please whatever you pack in please pack it out leave no trash or no sign that you were there but it's a great place it's nice and quiet! EDIT, I just read a more recent review and apparently there are a trash can and picnic table there I missed seeing them the first time we were there...

Check out the craftsmanship that went into building what was more than likely a huge feat of engineering for the time period. I remember driving across this bridge as a child and it has been maintained very well. Shame on everyone that felt this bridge needed their...
