This park is more for little toddlers. I love the sand pit area. However, you have to keep an eye on your kid. Toys break over time and there could be some sharp edges. Most parents see the broken toys and toss them for everyone's safety. I also enjoy letting my 2 year old run on the playground. Nothing is high up so I don't have the anxiety of him falling off. The park is pretty well maintained (I haven't went into the restrooms though) and there's a workout area for your older kids or yourself right across the parking lot. There's also some benches and tables to sit at and enjoy a picnic, along with a good long walking path. Overall, we have a good time and my little man always wants...

THE GOOD: cool sandbox with lots of Tonka trucks and sand toys. 2 covered pavilions. Long walking trail which is mostly shady. Huge field to play ball, Frisbee, etc. A really cute performance stage with 3 sets of large bleachers surrounding it. Some very cool rocks. A few scattered picnic tables and old grills. THE BAD: The bathrooms are usually dirty. (however, I am grateful that there are flushing toilets, yeah). The playground is not very big. There isn't alot to do, compared to many parks around the county. THE UGLY: the park is right beside the Convenience Center. If the wind is blowing toward the park the dumpsters can sometimes smell...

My daughter and I love this park! The sandbox and slides are very little-kid friendly. There are also walking trails that we enjoy walking on. I only deducted a star because some of the playground equipment has been removed and never replaced. There used to be a springy horse for small children and a tire swing and both are gone with no indication that they'll be replaced :(. It's a great park though; it's not the closest to us but we travel the extra few minutes because of the trails and...

The play ground is great for smaller kids. Has swings, a playground with some slides and there is a huge sand box with a ton of toys that stay there. There isn't much shade by the playground or sandpit though. Plenty of parking and restrooms close to the play area. There is a walking/running path around the park as well.

I have been to this park for my children's soccer practices, to picnic with my family, to walk/jog for exercise, and to walk the trails at the end of the park. It is always clean and feels safe. There is plenty of opportunity for sun or shade. The attached pictures are of the trails at the end of the park.
