New Boston Beef is the best. I recently took advantage of a Valentineâs Day dinner package Sarah (co-owner and chef) and Arora (baker) offered at The Kitchen this year. The 3 course meal came home ready to sit down to eat - all I was missing were the beverages! This was the perfect option to skip the chaos of reserving a table, scheduling a sitter, and then finding parking on VDay. My husband and I donât have enough date nights, and this was an opportunity we did not pass up. Our first course was a beautiful, crisp salad with a boat load of fresh giant golden and red beets, dried cherries, as well as a luscious burrata for each of us. The extra homemade vinaigrette is still waiting for some greens a few days later. So yum! Our main course was a beef bourguignon with generous NBB cuts and a perfect sauce served with Yukon mashed and heaps of broccoli rabe for each of our plates. We also received a whole focaccia (which the whole family sampled). To wrap, we had two dark chocolate ganache tortes embellished with perfectly sweet strawberries and delicate raspberries. We were even able to enjoy leftovers the following day as well. It was an investment that weâll easily make again. I have tried many items from The Kitchen and Sarah does not disappoint! Her traditional lasagna is out of this world. Eggplant salsa?! Yes please. The fresh NOmato sauce she offered was perfect for those looking to stay away from nightshades - truly killer in my homemade veggie lasagna. And donât get me started on her split pea soup - where she suggests adding a splash of ACV upon heat up. Damn thatâs good! Go. You wonât be...
Read moreI was fortunate to be able to attend Sarahâs cooking class. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming with a dash of laughter from your toes. Sarahâs culinary knowledge is a perfect blend with her interpersonal skills. She knows how to teach folks!!! I left KNOWING I could cook braised beef shank and risotto. The end meal we shared was testimony to her talent. Sarah answers all questions with a compassionate understanding. If you are debating on attending her cooking classes, stop debatingâŚ.just go and sign up. You will not be disappointed. Sarah was explaining different ways to cook different cut types of meat. I have two teenage kids who frankly have a bottomless pit in their stomachs. I left that night with a new cut of beef (to me) affordable and with instructions on how to make it taste tender and delicious. Sarahâs guidance, knowledge and dedication to her familyâs farm is evident. My last visit here I had purchased the premade/frozen white lasagna with butternut squash for my husband and I. It was more than enough portion for us with some left over. The taste was so yummy. I prefer homemade over large store bought. This was a great option to fill my freezer for those busy school week night dinners. Sarah and family, thank you for your dedication to educating, creating a welcoming atmosphere and your 24/7 care of your farm. I feel very fortunate to be able to drive down the road and fill my freezer from your...
Read moreNever beenâŚwas recommended so we popped in today spent 124.00 on two porterhouse, a focaccia and pasta salad. Got a âhow are youâ when we walked in but then were on our own to browse the store trying to get an idea and details of all the items. The woman at the register never looked up until we were paying and was rather rude and snooty for lack of better words. Would have been nice to have a more personal experience or âcan I help you pick something out?â Instead of on her laptop. I asked about some little ceramic rocks at the counter and she just said they are from a local potter. I wanted to buy a few but she didnât seem to be interested in providing any more details. Not the warm fuzzies for sure. Hope the food is better than...
