8/17/25. All excited to play a course that says Charles Barkley likes to play when In town. Who knows when that is. Pull into the gates and the place is top notch beautiful, could not find bag drop off bc I later found it hidden behind the golf carts. Went into the club house which again is beautiful and over looks the course. When seeing the holes from the house you get even more excited and for the challenge. Paid $105 with a cart and bucket of range balls. The staff from pro shop, starter and grill were super nice. The first three holes the course teases you and I’m 1 over par. After that hold on your in for a battle with the rolling fairways and mountainside slopes. Did I blow it up good enough. Well sorry but I don’t know the area nor its players, but they are truly ignorant. The fairways are littered with divots to the point you have to move your ball and some had heavy golf cart damage tire marks. The greens are covered with unrepaired ball marks, multiple sand traps have grass growing in them and the tee boxes are so damaged it was hard finding a grassy spot. Not once did I see a ground’s crew working. Back in the day I bet this course was nothing but awesome however today it is definitely uncared for. My foursome totally agreed we will not be returning and this course is not worth the $105. I hope the community gets together and makes it beautiful again if they want to see...
Read moreI have been trying to get lessons for my son and I. We have definitely been getting the run around. We went once (for a trial lesson) and I mentioned multiple times that I wanted to be put on the schedule and the person that is supposed to be instructing us is constantly flaky. To me this unprofessional is is a reflection of the club and how I feel the staff in general there is. If instructing myself and my son was something that is not able to happen then it should have been communicated or at least directed us to a different instructor who could best serve us. I am constantly reaching out to the instructor on if they remembered the lesson (which they had forgotten but was like they could add it on, this was the trial lesson), constantly trying to schedule a lesson, I highly doubt they treat other clients like this because they would be out of business. My son could have continued his drum lessons if he wasn’t going to have anything during that time. He only stopped drum lessons to make room for golf lessons (because of the time conflict), he had been asking for golf lessons more than wanting to go to drum lessons. It showed on the grounds how much he loved to golf and I feel like this instructor not putting my son in a consistent time slot is hindering my son in learn what he is interested in so therefore I am looking at a...
Read moreThe course was in great condition and on a very hot day the water set up on every three holes were great. The staff other than the starter were terrible at best. The person working the desk wasn't helpful and when we asked for directions to the driving range he put it off on the starter and acted like we incovienced him when there wasn't anyone in the pro shop. The ranger followed us and rudely told us we were playing slow on the front and back nine. On the front nine we were exactly on the pace of play listed on the chart they have on the cart. On the back we were only off that pace of play because our food we ordered and was not ready when we got to window after we ordered from the 8th green call box. Overall we were only 12 minutes of their pace of play and yet the ranger followed us, stared us down, and even came and said something to us twice. For a high dollar course the service was disappointing. I guess money doesn't buy manners or good service. Broad Run is a similar price in the same area and has...
