I chased down Kelly/event person after basically revising and writing my own contract so I could pay and lock in my event to send my invites. Getting answers to my questions about set up and my event day was difficult along the way. Two days prior to event when I reached out with a question I was informed I needed “day of” insurance- a 125.00 unexpected expense. I scrambled! Luckily I was able to research insurance and lock in before the weekend or I was told by Kelly no party could happen. I heard from her again at 11:30 pm - “flu” was not allowing her to answer me.

I was promised a bluetooth speaker and mic for our music, hi top tables with clean cloths- NOPE. We went and bought a speaker for 187.00. Another unexpected expense. Luckily I decided to show up the day before my event to arrange tables otherwise we would never have been ready for our guests because 2 hours prior to my event the place was a filthy mess. Dirty bathrooms, leaves up to my ankles, food tables and bar area needed to be cleaned prior to setting up food etc. As we are scrambling to get it all together I am getting texts asking for more payment bc Kelly didn’t remember my payment amounts. At the same time I’m getting these texts she didn’t have answers for my text questions and sent my call to voicemail. MY HUSBAND AND I pulled it off no thanks to CSA. (Kristen and Carter tried to help) Cool space for sure but what a chaotic mess prior to the party.

Icing on the cake ➡️ I reached out to Kelly and her cousin/Randy/owner and no one has responded to me all week. I was hoping to speak with someone but obviously they do not wish to respond. This seems to be the trend with those that had issues and resorted to poor reviews. So my review here and on FB is to warn others of the mess you could experience using CSA. Thank God it was a teen bday party and...

A PERFECT venue for someone who wants a very warm, intimate, romantic and rustic feel for their wedding. The venue itself is beautiful with greenery and lights everywhere! It's appropriately sized for a 100-150 man wedding-- Anything more and the cobblestone space may start to feel a little squished. This venue is a very hands-off BYOV friendly venue, which for some may be a deterrent, but for me and my husband it was EXACTLY what we wanted! I LOVED that the venue gave us so much flexibility to invite the perfect vendors in and really shape my ceremony up to be exactly how I want it. The price to book the venue was extremely fair, and despite losing some features that I originally booked due to inclimate weather, I do feel I got what I wanted for the money I spent. This is not a luxury ballroom venue, remember that. It is a working farm that you essentially rent the space out, therefore it is not perfect. You will need to clean up some things in the morning prior to the big day, and you don't receive help from the farm staff. They help with clean up, and supervise, and that's about it. And that was FINE by me because they made that very clear from day one. Kelly the event planner was lovely. She was very kind, she helped me out all she could, and when the fear of a tropical storm set in only DAYS before my wedding she was extremely helpful in making sure the venue was as prepared as possible for inclement weather. They even installed an updated drainage system right before our wedding for us! INCREDIBLE!

Overall, a 10/10 experience. Remember, you get what you pay for-- Hands off, BYOV, venue. It's a lovely venue if that's what you're looking for. I will look at my experience on my big day for years to come...

I recently hosted a retirement party for one of my providers at Thornbury Farms, and while the event turned out beautifully, it will be the last one I hold at this venue. The location itself is stunning, and the staff, especially Krista and Maria, were absolutely wonderful. Their support on the day of the event helped out tremendously.

However, the planning process was incredibly frustrating due to poor communication from Kelly. Email responses took anywhere from two to three weeks, and even then, she often failed to address all of the questions I had, requiring further follow-ups that also went unanswered for weeks. Calling the number listed online never led to a live person, and multiple voicemails were left with delayed or no response at all.

Due to this lack of communication, I eventually had to drive to the venue myself just to get a sense of the layout and figure out how to plan the setup. On the day of the event, I called Kelly, who assured me that both she and Krista would be there to assist. When I arrived, Kelly was nowhere to be found, and Krista informed me that she wasn’t scheduled to help and was actually about to leave. Thankfully, Krista chose to stay and assist, and Maria stepped in as well. They truly saved the day.

Throughout this entire process, Kelly never once offered an apology or took accountability, only excuses. While the party ultimately came together, it did so on a wish and a prayer, and only thanks to the hard work and kindness of the staff.

Thornbury Farms is a beautiful venue, but I strongly recommend hiring a different event coordinator moving forward. Due to Kelly’s lack of professionalism and unreliable communication, I won’t be planning...

Thornbury Farms is a beautiful venue with rich history that is centrally located to 202 and 926. What an incredible space for any party, wedding or other special event! We had our son's graduation party there and were thrilled with the venue and their list of preferred vendor list. We worked closed with Kelly, Thornbury Farm's marketing events coordinator, who was easy to work with and extremely helpful and willing to offer suggestions as needed which allowed us to make some special finishing touches for our son's special day. The facility is very spacious with a completely covered area for the food, tables, and dancing. We were fortunate to have a nice day, so we had lawn games and set up the fire pit area for family and friends to enjoy smores. They have several spacious bathrooms for your guest to use with plenty of parking too. Several of our guests commented on how beautiful Thornbury Fars is. I cannot say enough great things about this facility. It is a hidden gem right here in the middle of Chester County. I look forward to having my daughter's graduation there in a few years!

We just got married last weekend at Thornbury Farm and had the PERFECT wedding day! From the time we booked the venue to our big day, the team at Thornbury were constantly making improvements to make the venue even more comfortable and accommodating. No matter who was working on the days we visited, we were always impressed by the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. We really appreciated the farm's flexibility as we navigated the difficulties of planning a wedding during COVID times - fluctuating guest lists, changing needs, and a variety of vendors. Even on a chilly November day, the outdoor spaces were cozy with the heaters provided by Thornbury, wood-burning bread oven + bonfire, and soft glow of the white Christmas lights strung all around the patio. We are so happy that we chose Thornbury.
