DONT GO TO THIS SCHOOL, totally bad experience with the school, I wanted to enroll in their MBA program so I sent the graduate admission email asking them about the requirement needed. the graduate admission director replied that she would assign one of her counselor kati jo spaulding to help me, and she put her email in the cc section. I waited for several days, no one contacted me, so I sent another email and still no response from them. finally after waiting for 1 1/2 months and sending the third email to her supervisor (the director), can you believe that? you have to actually wait 1 1/2 months!! that graduate counselor kati jo spaulding finally replied saying she didnt receive my email, i sent them 3x how can she did not receive them? so I told her I want to proceed with the admission but first she has to give me her word that she will not cause me anymore trouble, cause Im the type of person who just dont want any trouble. she was angry with me because I asked her not to give me anymore trouble; calling me unprofessional with my tone and my word, she is acting so high saying If I want to continue my endeavor with her I better change my word. she also give a hint in her words about me needing to apologize to her. Can you believe that? is it really wrong to ask her not to give me anymore trouble after what she did to me?. She's the one who causes all this trouble in the first place and she's acting so high and wanted me to apologize to her? ckckck.. and then she forward my letter to her other supervisor, and this clown Harry Domicone is telling me that from now on I must only talk to him and cant talk to anyone else. LOL!! FREEDOM OF SPEECH!!, I can talk to anyone anytime I want to, about anything!! IF THEY DARE TO DO THIS BEFORE YOU ARE EVEN ENROLL IN THEIR SCHOOL, WHATS GONNA HAPPEN TO YOU AFTER YOU ENROLL THERE? IN THE MIDDLE OF SEMESTER, AFTER YOU ALREADY SPENT YOUR MONEY WITH THEM?-think about this, spend your...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis is a great school! In a way, Cal Lutheran is small and closely-knit, such that students and professors get to know each other well. This is excellent for getting individual attention to gain greater mastery of subjects. The members of the faculty will know your name. In another way, the school seems big because of the surrounding areas. While Thousand Oaks is a safe and relatively quiet city, it is close to both Los Angeles and Santa Barbara for fun weekend getaways. Thus, you can feel at home there whether you're a big city kind of person or a smaller town kind of person, depending on where you decide to hang out. There's good hiking in the area too. The trail to the nearest waterfall is just a couple of miles away from the campus. Since CLU is near LA, they sometimes have famous guests. They recently had Albert Bandura, a great psychologist of our time (the one who did the Bobo doll experiment) come in and speak and the Emerson String Quartet, which has won Grammy Awards play in the chapel. Physically, the school is clean and pretty. The architecture has lots of bricks and windows. They are constantly improving and expanding their facilities, and the standards for admissions rise each year. Also, they have many fun (and free) programs. Along with clubs, they have free leadership seminars, free bowling nights, and free career workshops. Parking permits are also free. Nearly all of the students are friendly and happy...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreCLU has a beautiful campus, with native landscaping that is labeled to identify the species. we enjoy taking long walks around and through the campus.
There's a walking bridge the crosses over Olsen Road so students and faculty do not have to travel longer distances than necessary, and it also connects the northern portion of the campus to the southern. They have several new buildings, including a state-of-the-art cafeteria, gymnasium with weight room, and a museum.
In the summer months, prior to the pandemic, the Kinsmen Company hosts Shakespearean plays in the campus park, complete with a full stage and professional actors. Patrons can take a picnic dinner and purchase wine and beer before the play or during intermissions. Seats are on the grass, on blankets or on low-backed lawn chairs
The Los Angeles Rams also train on the northern part of the CLU campus in a cordoned-off section that houses their training facility.
I encourage a trip to visit the CLU campus if you're...
