Babcock State Park Office and Gift Shop — Attraction in Thurmond

This is a beautiful park. The Grist mill with the river running right through it makes it so peaceful! We took a picnic and sat right across from the Grist mill and ate our lunch. There are picnic tables in the park but they are in the woods, so the river view was amazing. There is also a cute little store with bathrooms right where you park for the grist mill and river.

The campsites were very clean and quiet. Shower facilities were spotless and new. The location made it very convenient to visit New River Gorge NP.
