I have been snowboarding for a little over a decade. I have been to just about every resort on the west coast. Being one of the few mountains I haven’t been to, I was really excited to try White Pass. Never in all my years in this hobby, have I been treated so poorly at a resort. Not only did my board and bindings get stolen. But the staff was absolutely hands down the rudest bunch of people I have ever had to deal with. When trying to seek out any sort of help to find my property, I was told by one of the front desk girls to find lou and that he could check lost and found and if needed check the cameras. Once I found Lou literally the first words out of his mouth was a chuckle, followed by “Happens every day, that is why there is a ski check”. Not only was no compassion at a paying customer’s loss showed, but there was no effort made to even help me find it. I inquired about cameras, which resulted in more attitude followed by a bold face lie of there are no cameras that point in that area. Another employee had already informed me there are in-fact cameras, and had suggested I talk to Lou in the first place. To be clear there is a camera facing where all the boards are stored. Not only could the staff not be bothered to show a single bit of compassion, they went as far as to lie to me to avoid doing any sort of work. When I questioned further about the Camera I was met with such attitude and hostility that I was at a loss. Rather than continue to deal with this individual, I thought it best to go outside, and triple check to make sure my board was not simply misplaced. While doing this, I met another customer who was looking for their items, which turns out, had also been stolen. I also watched the ski check area turn away two people because they were full. Keep in mind this ski check area literally faces where all the free store spots are. They look right at it, yet somehow two separate peoples gear where stolen. After looking around for about 45 minutes, I decided to try and talk to management. I quickly went to guest services and asked for a manager. I was told I had to wait for one to come by and assist me. After about 20 minutes a lady named Hanna comes out and introduces herself. I ask if she is a manager and she responds with “Kind of”. I decide that I’ll accept this answer and began explaining my story in hopes of getting any type of assistance. As soon as I mention my interaction with Lou, he yells out from the back room “It was me he was dealing with” and then comes out saying he is the manager (which he is not) and starts being extremely rude again. Officially de-railing any chance I had at getting any sort of help from that lodge. I simply walked away, went outside in hopes of finding my board. While calming down, I overhear the Ski check guys laughing about the two peoples gear that was stolen. And how stupid we were to risk nice gear. I decided my next best course of action was to talk to the ticket booth in hopes of talking to an actual manger. After about 3 hours into this whole ordeal,I was finally able to talk to a gentleman, that was willing to take a description of the board and filed it in their lost and found system. This was the first time any employee offered any sort of help. Stay AWAY FROM THIS MOUNTAIN...

Don't. Just don't. Save your money time and joy by not going here.

All around horrible experience. -staf did not help us properly fit our rented gear, let along even exllain how it works and we were left with sloppy unsafe poor fitting gear despite constantly asking questions and for help. A few young workers who actually care inspired us to keep going. Nobody else seemed to give a flying and just wanted you gone.

-canteen staff don't understand how to hand you food you order. Registers were cash only and we had to inform the child worker 6 times for 10 minutes that we are paying in cash and would like a sandwich. Ee stood akwardly in front of the hot food line, tray in hand, being inired by the workers. Eventualy we had to ask 'do we order food from you?'. The worker said yes then turned and walked away, proceeding to ignore us despite asking again if we coukd buy a sandwich. So we wait then ask again and are told the registers are down, that its cash only. It literally took us asking 3 different employees before one handed us a pre wrapped sandwich that had been sitting right in frony of us. we could have just picked up ourselves and saved the overhead of having an employee hand it to us. We literally had to say "can we buy this or not we have cash....Yes we have cash, yes we are paying in cash.... Yes cash, yes paying in cash....Yes can we please buy that sandwich." Then the worker asks "Oh, are you paying in cash?" ...

-lifts are trash and broken. Line is over 2 hrs long for a single lift.

Food was cold overpriced and horrible quality. Tried ordering at the bar as we didn't want a repeat of having to explain to a child cafeteria worker we are trying to buy food for another 10 minutes. But the "warm" bar food is cold. You can easily just grab any plate cause there is no order and no staff care, again they just want you gone. The quality is worse than 711 yet they are prepared to charge 20$ for store bought chips and bbq sauce that is served cold.

The only good part here is the part that has nothing to do with staff or business. The nature...

Wonderful family resort (not only for families though). I felt that all of the staff were focused on ensuring guests have a great experience. The staff are so friendly and willing to help with anything we needed. My entire family took lessons here and the instructors were phenomenal. This being a smaller resort, the lift lines were not bad despite that we went on peak holidays with excellent snow conditions. We had to wait more than 10 minutes for the lift only for the first lift of the day to get up the mountain (after 2 feet of snow the days before). My favorite runs are Quail and Grouse, under and around Chair 4. Everyone rushes to the Coulior Express lift in the morning and those groomed trails get carved up quickly. The runs under Chair 4 retain their groomed texture for a solid 60-90 minutes in the morning because so few people ski those runs, and there is no line for Chair 4 until the late morning. The first turn into the Quail and Grouse runs provides a fantastic view of Mt. Rainier, so bring your camera if it is a clear day!

They groom nearly everything every night. When we were there, all blue and green trails were groomed nightly. The less steep blacks were also groomed nightly.

My only critique is that they need more orange fences around the bottom of the magic carpets. I saw a few bad crashes with beginners who didn't know how to stop, skiing straight down the hill and crashing into people waiting in line for the magic carpet. Adding more flexible orange fences at the bottom will catch those people and reduce injuries. Given how often I observed this in the few days I was there, these crashes are probably a...
