I am from Wisconsin and living in the Panhandle of Florida. I used to buy fresh Georgia peaches in Wisconsin every June and had a craving for some fresh peaches. We drove 2 hours to visit Southern Grace Farms for some fresh peaches. On June 9, the U-Pick peaches were at an end, however, there were pre-picked peaches available for us to purchase. They seemed small to me, however, they are sweet & delicious! While there, we did U-pick blackberries and blueberries and that was such an awesome experience. The blueberry variety they grow at Southern Grace Farms is so tasty! The area where we picked the blueberries was further away from the farm house, however, it was very quiet and peaceful. My daughter & I thoroughly enjoyed picking blueberries and listening to the chirping birds. Then, we picked blackberries at another area of the farm and were so delighted with how delicious the blackberries are! We have picked amazing blackberries in Washington State, so we had a high bar of comparison and Southern Grace Farm in GA came very close! Lastly, the farm shop sells a wonderful variety of candies, peanuts, and the best part - delicious homemade ice cream! We are ice cream fanatics and bought each variety offered (blueberry, strawberry, and peach). The ice cream texture and taste is perfect! We were already planning our trip for next year before we left. Also, it was absolutely worth the 4 hour round trip for the peaches, blueberries, blackberries, and...
Read moreI absolutely loved bringing my daughter here. The process is super easy and fun. You don't pay to get in, but you do pay for the strawberries. They have baskets for you. The largest basket is $9, the middle is $5, and the smallest is $2. Once you choose your basket you can get straight to picking. After you pick your berries, you go in and pay. They have so many items in the store to purchase; including soft serve ice cream, drinks, homemade jams, and more. The customer service is great. They are super friendly and helpful.
While I loved it, I found one con and that is it is a mask less facility. The workers don't wear masks and they don't require guests to wear them either. My family and I were the only people wearing masks. That's my only negative take away. While that does turn me off a bit it is still easy to social distance, since it s a large field, and no one is near you. Other than that I still loved it and would definitely bring my...
Read moreI shopped there a couple of years ago with a friend driving North from Florida. I bought grits and cornmeal and other items. When I was about to run out, I looked on the bags and realized I could order online. I loved having those products rather than the regular grocery store variety! Recently I ordered cornmeal again--4 bags to keep me supplied. They sent grits instead. I e-mailed asking what to do, and that same day--on a weekend--I got a reply. They told me to keep the grits and they'd send cornmeal. I received the cornmeal very quickly later that week! I can't say enough about their customer service--and their products are the best. My mother and grandmother would always have relatives bring them grits and cornmeal from Georgia. I admit I thought that was silly, but not anymore. What a wonderful difference. I hope to take a trip by there again, but until then--I order online! Great people to go along with their...
