An icon of Tillamook Bay, the Three Graces or also known as the "Three Sisters" is a welcome sight to the fleet after a long trip out at sea. It's more than just a bunch of rocks though. Often at low tide and on sunny days you find families and children scampering around the tide pools looking for what they might find. It's easy to stop by, just pull onto the road side after exiting Garibaldi but before reaching the bar view Jetty campground. In the afternoon when the tide comes back in, it is still magnificent and the birds are on the other rock and a few times I have been able to take a photo of the condors, ravens, and once an eagle. If you’re traveling up, the coast will make fantastic photos. Again, wear sturdy shoes, and watch for...

If you are going down to the rocky beach area, be careful as you have to walk down the two-lane highway a short distance to cross the road. You then have to climb over the guardrail and walk over the railroad tracks then climb down the rocky bank. If you are not up for the short walk/climb, you can take pictures with a higher perspective view, from the road. My photos were taken in drizzling light rain when the tide...
