Mink Meadows is gentle golf—no tricks, no crazy layouts—just straightforward, island golf the way it should be. It’s a 9-hole course with an 18-hole offering thanks to alternate tee boxes that keep the round fresh the second time through.
The course is bordered by woods, so if you’re prone to a slice or fade, bring a full box of balls. It’s forgiving off the tee in spots, but errant shots can disappear quickly. As an 11 handicap, I shot a 41 on the front 9 and left feeling pretty good.
Hole 3 was my favorite—there’s a slight elevation change and the pin placement can turn a simple approach into a thoughtful challenge. It’s a standout without trying too hard.
Before your round, you can hit the putting green and a small bunker for warm-up. Just a heads-up: the carts don’t have phone chargers, so come prepared. I chose to walk, while my playing partner rode—and honestly, it’s such an easy course to walk that I’d encourage others to do the same if they can.
Last but not least - a women's bathroom with a FULL LENGTH MIRROR. I've been in countless women's bathrooms at golf clubs and there isn't a full length mirror. That earned a star all by itself 😂🙌

Read moreI really like the layout and conditions of this course. It is not as fancy as my home club and the greens aren't as fast, but I feel it really matches the vibe of the Island. THe course design is excellent with well designed fairway bunkers and some waste areas and challenging green complexes. Decent practice area. New irrigation system. Negatives: The course is very short. There is no restaurant or bar and no alcohol available (or allowed)...
