I visited Butrico Groves just as the citrus season was coming to an end. Because of this, there was only one variety of orange available, which was a bit disappointing—but completely understandable and not the fault of the business.
What truly made this visit memorable was the exceptional hospitality. The gentleman who assisted us was one of the nicest people I have ever met, making the experience even more enjoyable. Despite the limited selection, his kindness and enthusiasm made me even more excited to return next season when the full variety is available.

Oranges took a beating in the hurricanes this year and we came at the end of the season but still 100 times better than store bought fruit! Honeybelles and grapefruit were so yummy and juicy and sweet! Lee and Barbara were so delightful and gave great recommendations for other businesses in the area! Read moreThis once was a favorite, waited all year for it to open, when the original mom and pop ran things. This year the second generation took over. The wife complained about poor crops, county maintenance of ditches, on and on rants...pleaze. But still sold us the worst honey bells, bitter watery and not fit to sell, ruby grapefruit the size of baseballs and green. Navels 1/3 to 1/2 dry and uneatable, but still sold them. This year we did not get to pick our fruit from the bins, they picked them. Bins of green fruit. Will not go back sadly. If your citrus is that bad, don't sell it and donate to a...
