A wonderful spot for family and kids to enjoy live shows, including jousting, comedy, music, art, blacksmithing, Glass-Blowing, etc. There are many themed weekends (Viking, Pirate, Rennaissance era, etc), so make sure to check the website so you can match (if you like). They also offer TONS of hand-crafted clothing, armor, weapons, oils, soaps, fancy dresses, boots, everything to make a whole costume, should you desire. Food and Alcohol sold on-site. Overnight camping is available. They also offer rentable tents that are already set up (you simply show up and put your stuff inside). Lastly, especially if you're camping, I'd HIGHLY recommend calling for their Cart Service. Once you call, a golf cart will be sent to pick you and your party up and deliver you to the front gate. Let's just say it's a LONG WALK, it's HOT and WORTH EVERY PENNY 💯 Wear comfortable shoes, and bring a big ice chest with tons of water. Lawn chairs are a must 👌

Had a great time! Plenty of things to do and see to keep busy and fun entertainment. Don't like they charge $5 for a map and pamphlet/magazine that's probably filled with advertising on top of it. Which gives you the general impression and often true that you have to be protective of upsell and add on costs with hustlers. It's great you can get the map and schedule online as an alternative, when you think about it yourself. Fireworks and fire show was the best. Bird show was cool as expected. The free singing, dancing, musical shows and performances were all awesome. Would love to go back. So many attendees in a festive mood and diverse eccentric cultural attire. Great experience.

Most of the people at the festival were friendly. We signed up for a combo package with camping and admission to the festival. However, one traffic control lady gave very confusing hand signals regarding whose turn it was to go, even though there was no reason for her to be overwhelmed because traffic was minimal. We were returning to camp to relax before the evening activities. We did not violate any traffic laws. We started to go because she motioned in a manner that we interpreted meant it was our turn, and then changed her signals to indicate we were not to move. Therefore, we stopped prior to entering the intersection. She approached the car and threatened us. Basically, she told us to go back to the campsite and not return to the festival or she would harass us. I spent quite a bit of money preparing for and at the festival. The person driving was completely sober and has been for 30 years. It was a huge insult for her to threaten to do a sobriety check if we were to return to the festival even though we paid for it and had not been doing anything illegal. It was obvious that she had a bad day or that she has issues with exploiting her position of power. We haven't even been here a full day and my daughter will be heartbroken that we have to return home because of some person who cannot handle their own personal issues and does not know how to do appropriate hand signals even though the traffic was minimal. When a person threatens another one, especially when the person threatening is in a position of power, it is very intimidating. I personally am not willing to drive back to the festival this evening or tomorrow because I am afraid of being harassed. I don't know what might be going on in her personal life or what happened that day that could have caused her to threaten us, but if I threatened another citizen, I believe I would be charged with at least a misdemeanor. I am a professional with a master's degree. I am a licensed therapist and have a leadership role in emergency management in the state I live. I will never return to this area unless the traffic person who threatened us is investigated and provided training on the appropriate interactions with other human beings. My daughter has a sensitivity disorder and is awaiting testing on whether or not she has autism. This person's unwarranted negative impact on our one vacation, the one time I was able to get my child out of the house, may have a life long impact on her. I would highly recommend not coming to this area. Just because a person is having a bad day does not mean that they are allowed to use a position of power to intimidate and destroy the enjoyment of another person's vacation. I hope that this is not a representation of the government and leadership of this area. I hope that this situation is addressed and the person is trained on how to interact with others without threatening them. I spent a lot of money on this vacation and while at the festival. And now, I'm fearful that I am going to be targeted and harassed, all because one person who represents the government was having a bad day and doesn't know how to interact with people in an appropriate...

This year they changed the showers to $5 for 8 minutes which is better than $5 for five minutes. We bought 4 tokens for $20. When we got to the showers we tried two different stalls and neither had hot water. When we told the attendant (blonde lady) she said that some showers had no hot water but she didn't know which ones. We decided to leave and as we were doing so another patron was leaving we asked if he had hot water. He said he did and gave us the stall number he was in which was 24. We decided to try one more time and it did work. This was on the furthest row to the right from the entrance. It appeared those were working on that row. No refunds on our wasted $10.

They still charge for dumping at $25.00. We use the premium camping which is more costly so you might think it would be free and tickets would be included but that's just the way...
