Shenipsit Lake — Attraction in Tolland

Check out the two mile trail that runs along the east side of the lake. It is just off of rte 74, heading west, little oval blue sign that says Shenipsit Trail, just across the street from a hair salon. There is no parking lot, park on side of the road. If you want to get a better view of the lake, take a side trail. The one I like is visible but unmarked, about 1.25 miles from the start. The water is low this year so there is some beach, normally...

I think I already said something about this place but... it's a beautiful lake/pond, it does have trails that are marked but beware there are no trespassing signs around and you can go fishing during fishing season only catch and release only with the proper licenses. The loop around the lake is an awesome walk and dogs are allowed...

Absolutely beautiful a shame they are sucking it dry regularly now bit still worth a stop beautiful scenery and perfect for artist and photographers with little here to leave you board from the wild life to the view and walking around the lake most of the people we have met...
