I've been going to the fair for years. This year, they charged 80 bucks each to camp so 160 for two. I was with someone that had mobility issues and had a handicap placard. The guy walked us to the spot and said put your tent here. So we set up the tent, blew up the mattress, got our camp set up. At 8am the next morn, someone says, hey, you guys can't camp here, you have to move. I'm sure! Pissed me off. 160 bucks and now we have to break down and find a new spot. At that point, they were about 5000 over capacity. 5000 IS capacity and a guy told me they were at 8 to 10,000 already and still taking in crowds of people. Can you imagine how the port-a-potties were taking it? The taxes on the property are a mere 400 dollars. I hope they do good things with some of those proceeds. To me, it's become too commercialized. The vendors want top dollar for their wares. It used to be fun and fair. I won't be going back. I was...

Read moreA pretty great experience, first off to see so many people gather in a location with out cellphone service is quite enchanting. Everyone one was friendly and one quite palpable thing is that some people were there just to truly feel like them selves, whether it be the guy singing merrily at the top of his lungs walking through the isles, the fox masked samurais, the druids, witch's and wizards, or just the vendors who were exceedingly happy to teach you. It felt family safe and just truly like home, like you've found your people no matter who you are as I heard from quite a few...
