Breathe in every moment in this dazzling paradise! I've never encountered anything quite like it! The sheer size of that sunflower field is awe-inspiring! One can only imagine the love and meticulous care that go into nurturing such a magnificent display! It felt like a tangible ray of sunshine, radiating warmth and joy! Laughter and delight filled the air with every visitor who came to admire the splendor of this field. Read moreWhat's not to love? So bright and cheerful! Had a lot of fun taking pics and going through the rows and rows of Sunflowers. The people who own this field are extremely kind to let the public come out to enjoy and take pics and even take a flower or few home (donation $1 plus per flower is recommended if you take any home, to show appreciation). We went in the evening before sunset. Best time is to get there before sunrise and within a few hours after sunrise. The flowers will face the sun and maybe even get some dewdrops to add to it. Consider the colors you wear if you want to take lots of great photos. (I read some of these tips on photographer's blogs/websites). I will try come at sunrise next year to see the difference. This was my first year. I imagine they will only be blooming for maybe another week or so. I was here a few days ago. There was ample parking across the road and fortunately not muddy. It is expected to rain so I recommend extra pair of closed shoes and plastic bag for them afterwards. It is a slightly hilly in areas, so watch your step, esp. at the edges as you get to the Sunflowers and if you have kids or elderly with you. It was also a lot of fun to go all the way to the back of the fields, deep in the jungle of flowers!. I loved the ladies in dresses, esp if they had a cute rimmed hat to go with it. There is a lot of space so most people didn't wear a mask. Lots of bugs and bees but not extreme. Thank you very much, from the bottom of my heart, to the family who lets people enjoy their beautiful Sunflower field. Makes me feel closer to God when I am in a...
Read moreAlways a fun experience! We go annually - and it has become a popular place for photos, enjoying a free outing with the family, or just visiting for a cool experience. The family that owns the farms are fantastic and friendly....often just asking folks to donate a few bucks if they cut and take the sunflowers - I always bring some of my one dollar bills, drop off at the donation-station (which also takes Venmo!) - then mill around in what seems like a Sunflower Maze!! Bring a few shopping bags, a pair of shears (or heavy duty scissors), cut a few flowers, and enjoy! I take my flowers back to my family and classroom - my students (high school and college) LOVE seeing the 'origin' of sunflower seeds and are awestruck at how huge these brilliant flowers get! AND don't forget to drive a super short distance down the road - to stop the Bakery and Shop! Great...
