What an amazing weekend. If anyone had one winery they could visit, I would highly recommend coming to Bonair. It's definitely a hidden gem.

This past weekend, I took my sisters from out of town to do some tastings. We visited and was completely impressed with the entirety of what we experienced.

The winery, tasting room, entry, front area, library, was all amazing and beautiful. You can tell, this place is loved by us owners.

The owners, Shirley and her husband, are GREAT people. Shirley was attentive, fun, and caring. Oh, the stories to be heard, simply fun.

The wines are all good medals, definitely winners that you should try. The prices are fair, and the pours are GENEROUS.

One of the best things about a private winery is not just the care for the business, BUT also for the community. Bonair supports its local libraries and sells/ donations for books in the side room. We bought quite a bit because the books look interesting to read, and they support the local community.

We bought a couple of bottles, and it's been a week, and we need to replenish our stash, hehehe.

If you get a chance, please stop by. You won't be sorry. Thanks, Shirley and Bonair, for making our visit memorable. We'll...

In the dictionary definition of hospitality, you’ll probably find the Puryears, who we were lucky enough to meet during our visit. Their overall relaxed, welcoming, and friendly vibe seems to rub off on or to attract people with similar energy. They’re humble but take obvious joy and pride in what they’ve created. Our host was attentive and kind. We visited several wineries in Zillah, and this was by far our favorite, and primarily because of how genuinely warm and welcoming everyone was here. The whole grounds seem to glow with their love and care. It’s unsurprising that in their previous career the Puryears worked as a teacher and as a social worker. The wines were satisfying to the soul, and even more appreciated knowing all the care that went into making them. We really liked the Sunset and the Bonnie Bonaire, and loved the duck pond to enjoy them by. We hope to come back when we have opportunity to pass through again - this...

Starting out the Labor Day weekend at Bonair Winery in Zillah. Linda was such a marvelous host, making our visit a very memorable occasion. My wife and I each tasted five different wines so we could try a total of 10 (and shared a little bit). Ended up buying two bottles of the Gewürztraminer (one to bring home and one to drink tonight with dinner) and a bottle of Petit Verdot.

PS. The sunset view in the evening with Mt Adams on the horizon was amazing!

It is our 3rd weekend with our new camper van and our 3rd 'campout' at a winery through Harvest Hosts. Two more winery camp outs scheduled this weekend in...

This is my favorite winery in the yakima area. They have a few good choices for food like a charcuterie board, a panani and prochiuto wrapped asparagus (seasonal?). We ordered 1 of each and loved them all, plus brought a picnic. Their wine prices are also reasonable. Outside you get a super casual atmosphere(not the typical cookie-cutter-overmanicured-destination winery) A pond with ducks and a great view! They have seating inside as well. Next time, we are skipping the over thought, over-priced and overdone wineries and heading straight to Bonaire! The staff are also down to earth. Ireally love this place.

The staff were super friendly. We bought our own lunch and enjoyed it with their Rose. They provided us with some silverware and were very accommodating. They even gave some duck feed for the kids in our group. The duck pond is really fun and the vineyards and surroundings are gorgeous and make for beautiful backdrop for pictures.
