One of my top choices to go, when i am in need of a break from life and society. Usually end up going when my Best Friend Zacky comes to town to visit me. All the way in the back of the park, there is this ginormous rock that i enjoy going to and just kicking back and smoke some herb or just enjoy some quiet time in the middle of nature with the 2 best guys in my life.... My Husband, John, and my Best Friend, Zacky

If you ever have a chance to make it up there you'll see that thou it might have been far or out of your way, it was just the place you needed to find and keep in mind whenever you may be i need of a quiet and refreshing spot to run off to and hide or even if you want to be found its an amazing place to just go and relax, have a big/small party/get together/BBQ, or if you need a place to go and just BE ALONE...

I wanted to find a park that my grandson and I had not been to yet; one with just enough "hiking" for a 4-year-old, and this was such a nice adventure from Goleta!! Everything about it, from the big rock at the opening of the trail, to the "high-up" views, the gazebo rest stop from which we could see our starting point, and then the downhill jaunt, skipping along trenches left by that ancient thing we call "water.... all made for the perfect morning outing. Even when we stopped by the playground on the way out, all he really wanted to do was sit and watch the woodpeckers flit from tree to tree. So glad we...

I came hoping for an easy to medium hike to great views from the Gazebo. The hike on a Sunday in late September was dry/dusty, mostly in the sun...I was the only person on the trail on the way up which was nice. At the top there is a gazebo and a plaque in memory of some firefighters who were injured and perished in a 1971 fire. The view is really just over the park and up the hillsides, nothing too spectacular or interesting. The rest of the park has some nice looking play structures for kids and campsites. The restrooms were clean and stocked which was...

Plenty of parking. A few play structures for kids. We did a nice, fairly easy hike up to the gazebo where we took a little rest and hiked back down. My frenchie, 6yr old & 4yr old did it with us, so that should give you a sense of difficulty. Great views looking out over a bunch of avocado trees.

This park is amazing and has 4 different areas that can be reserved for groups up to 200 people. There is a dog park, playground, grills, common area, restrooms, a beautiful hike, plenty of parking and the drive to Toro Canyon is very scenic. No camping.
