I camped here with my family, and we had a memorable experience. If you are not used to driving in Puerto Rico's mountains, arriving here will be complicated. We confronted significantly narrow streets, tight curves, giant potholes, obstacles, you name it, but once you arrive, it is a beautiful place to visit and stay. I can't review their rooms since we have always stayed in the camping zone, but the camping area is spacious, and they offer electricity and public bathrooms, more of a glamping. At that time, the bathrooms were in acceptable condition, but since they were public, they could be not that clean. So, bathing with rubber flip-flops on is a must. They have some secluded areas for camping, and others less. At night, depending on your selected location for camping, you can hear the river, which is very soothing when sleeping. They have a nice big pool with slides for the kids; the restaurant and bar are acceptable. The river is icy but manageable. You must not miss out on the opportunity to get into it. It is fantastic and beautiful. Just be aware of strong currents and water flow. Overall, the prices are fair, and the amenities offered are great for having a lovely weekend with the family or loved ones.
Remember that this place can be packed during summer, and Puerto Ricans can be noisy and not necessarily rule followers. One night, we had to call security to make our neighbor's campers shut their PA speaker. They have signs stating that speakers and loud sounds are prohibited everywhere, but reading can be complicated for some people. Nonetheless, we had a great time here and will repeat the...
Read moreDo to covid their main restaurant was not open and alot of other restaurants near by were also closed which i found out only by reading OTHER reviews. So we decided to get a room with a kitchen so we could cook our own food (especially our Christmas dinner) but after bringing enough food for the whole weekend we get there only to find out there's NO pots, pans, utensils, cups, no coffee maker and no towels in the room. Which we weren't told.. so we went up to the desk to see what we could do and we were told that we could order picaderas from the pool bar which i wasn't happy about since i had bought food for 4 days. So we went out and got lucky and found a lt store and bought pots, pans, cups, utensils, coffee maker etc.
Its a really nice place and the staff were really great but they need to communicate to their customers that the main restaurant is closed and that there's NO POTS , PANS, UTENSILS, CUPS, coffee maker and NO TOWELS provided in the rooms at the time the reservation is made. So that we can come prepared and not start off our vacation wasting our vacation time driving around all crazy looking for a store.
Other than that its a nice place. Just needs better communication at the time of...
Read moreI gave this place 3 stars because they only get it half right! If i could i wouldve given them 2.5 stars! The rooms need to be updated. Our room had no nightstands. No dressers. U know, basic stuff u find in a resort or any hotel/motel in the world! We had to charge our phones on the floor. There was no closet in the room. And the mattress was hard as a rock! The only mirror in our room was in the bathroom! And that needed a serious upgrade as well! The shower head in the shower was seriously outdated as well! The rooms/semi-suite we stayed didn't receive any housekeeping while we were there. So the garbage filled up really quick!
On the other hand the food was delicious and the service was good. The outdoor amenities were great. The entertainment and pools were great and a refreshing way to make you forget about the shortcomings of the room/suite! This place only gets it half right! They got the entertainment and outdoor amenities part great! But the rooms leave a lot to be desired! If you do decide to go here, I recommend that you go for the day and then go home. Because if you've stayed in any half way descent hotel in the modern world, you will be...
