Went to the Boldt Castle Yacht House to fly my drone over the water. I was approached by an older female worker saying that I wasn’t allowed to fly the drone. When I asked why, she tried explaining per FAA rules and since customs were close due to Canada being near the area that the area was a no fly zone. I tried explaining that the area was a recommended fly zone (meaning that per FAA that the area was a good area to fly). The castle finally has the first two levels of the home done. They have done a beautiful job restoring the castle, providing period furniture, some modern updates and history of the house. Letters that were written during the beginning construction of the castle, their shipments of materials, some still in unopened boxes, and the letter to the foreman ceasing construction after the death of Mr. Boldts wife. I look forward to returning when the next three levels, and the playhouse are complete. Strongly encourage people who are interested in history, and have a love they can't be without to visit the castle and see what this museum brings out...
