Thousand Islands OPRHP Regional Office — Attraction in Town of Alexandria

I went with my family and friends in August and it was so beautiful. This is so beautiful that I took hundreds of photos (uploaded) of different Buildings. Tiny Islands with one house will make you happy. Again this is another place N.Y. has to offer. Great place to visit the islands are beautiful. The facilities are clean and you can take showers also. There is so much to see and do. History is prevalent and the locals are so nice. The restaurants a nice and clean, everywhere we went. Boldt castle was, as you figure, stunning. There's a boat ride to see it, but you can see it from the shore. It affordable and cheap outing for the family and bring some water with lunches because u can make a decent trip out of it. Take a tour on a boat also looks like it's so much fun there's trails to hike also!!!! I'll definitely be coming back again I really enjoyed it.

Boldt Castle is a formerly almost completely ruined castle commissioned by hotelier George Boldt. Upon the untimely death of his wife, the construction was halted and the partially completed structure left to decay for more than seven decades, serving only as a historical artifact. In 1978, a restoration was begun, which continues to this day. The vision represented by this gargantuan undertaking leaves one breathless. A destination not to be missed.

Welcome to the wild wild west. No rules no enforcement. Site across from us has been partying for a week straight. The first night they never went to bed and ran a strobe light all night along work loud music. During the day they take over river access and party there all day. Multiple complaints to admin with people leaning their sites early. No action. Other sites the same. Had one women say she was afraid to go to bathroom at 4 am because there were so many drink guys wandering around. People with golf carts and motorized bikes. Generators run whenever. Why have rules if they aren't enforced. I guess this is the way the world is now. We used to love this placebut it is like the wild wild west. I understand partying but to do it all night every night and day with no sleep and no regard for anyone else, it isn't done with out chemical assistance and the admin is aware of the situation and done nothing. Unless you don't mind loud music, strobe lights, mini bikes, generators running all day and night and no sleep,...
