Such a great hike. We arrived around 3pm on a Saturday at the end of September. The walk was perfect. Nice sections in the trees past a brook.
Once into the trail you have two choices an upper and a lower meadow trail. Upper is 1mile lower is 1.5. We took the lower.
Once you are out in the meadow you are walking on a mowed grass path (slightly rutted fro the tractor). I recommend wearing boots as the ground while soft, It’s not always level.
Great views of the ridge line and plenty of small birds and butterflies living their best lives off all the milkweed and other flowers.
I would not recommend this hike in August as you have a lot of sun exposure but any other time and it will be amazing. We are considering retuning...
Read moreAppealing spot, especially at this time of year. The trails have a bit of a suburban feel, being mostly wide and mown, though the section of the Upper Meadow trail that goes through the woods was a challenge to follow with the ground covered in falling leaves and the markers patchy in a couple of places. I was glad I had downloaded the map on Avenza.
Some interesting bits of stone wall and some very old Apple tread to the appeal of the Lower Meadow section.

The signs for this trailhead parking indicate that it’s a photo-worthy stop! It did not disappoint. As with usual, my camera can not do it justice.
I highly suggest a stop through. Would love to come check out the actual trail when the time...
