Old Goat Cidery participates in the Christmas Around the World event which leads people to multiple stops along the Lake Ontario Wine Trail. Each location represents a country and prepares food samples with wine/cider pairings to taste. Yesterday was my third time attending and once again OGC was our group's favorite stop. They consistently go above and beyond putting in effort that makes them shine above the rest. First, they provide a colorful printout naming and explaining each food and drink sample. Second, they dress and talk the part, decorate, play theme music and even provide a photo op! All of which adds to the experience in a wonderful way! Their playful bantering and interaction with us adds to the whole experience confirming that we will want to do the tour next year. Customer service is so very important. How people feel when they are at and after they leave your establishment is what will have them sharing positive feedback and coming back again. Well done, lady...
Read moreThis is a nice place to enjoy some fun fall activities, enjoy a nice store with delicious foods. It wasn't overrun. It's in really good condition. Beautiful property that's well maintained.
It's not great for picking apples. They have one variety and one or two aisles open at a time. The apples are delicious, but it was a little disappointing. Taking a wagon ride past acres of apples many different varieties that were clearly ready for picking, but were off limits.
The wagon ride is mandatory because it takes you to the right place. They do a nice job with wagon ride, other than venting the diesel exhaust new away from people. Just beware it's a mandatory cost on top of purchasing the bags for apples.
The primary reason we go out to a place like this is to pick apples, so we won't be back. But if you're just out for some fall fun, a nice little playground activities for kids, and a very nice country store, this is a...
Read moreI was in Wayne County enjoying the Apple Trail Weekend and visited The Apple Shed for the first time. The store is filled with all sorts of gifts, food, cidery, cheeses, apples, other fruits and jams and sundries. The apple tasting was great, server was friendly and suggested flavorful fruit to try. Also had a delightful pickle out and I ended up buying so much while there! Went on a ride through the orchard, met up with Sasquatch - actually screamed when he showed up and beat the side of our wagon with a large stick. Super fun! You could get off the wagon to pick your own apples, then wait for a ride back to the store. It was a beautiful day, staff super friendly and efficient. Great play area for the kids and adorable goats. Public bathrooms are clean. We got delicious sandwiches for the road. Very good. I will definately be back when in...
