We just moved a quarter mile down the road and see the bog from out backyard.. me and my bf decided to finally walk it. When you walk in (go on trail to the right) about 2 min ahead there is a small hut.. make sure to look at the hut.. there is a glossary of what to look for. There are markers on trees to guide you ( spray painted white squares) .one solid square means go straight. Two solid squares with the right one higher means go right and if the left one is higher it means go left. It is vital you pay attention to the trees and stay on the path. There are a few spots where trees are fallen and have to go under over or around them. We wore bug spray which helped against mosquitos.. but the horse flies were the only problem. It was very peaceful in there.. the sounds of the birds felt like the bird sanctuary at a zoo or somthing..in some areas there are wooden planks to walk on.. be careful as some are warped and bowed but stay on them at all costs. I believe it was about 2 miles to go around the whole loop. I highly recommend it for mature children about...
Read moreSuper cool nature preserve that gives you varied ecosystems along the loop trail. The bog / swamp portions of the trail were the coolest! You will get a little muddy. It was super cool to feel the bog beneath your feet. I've never experienced anything quite like it. The trails are a combination of wooden planks in wet areas, knotty forest floor, or worn pathways in others. This place is not handicap accessible for those looking for an accessible trail. I highly recommend this place for all.who are physically able...
