Really beautiful and quiet place. Perfect to watch Waterfowl and various birds. Little parking turnouts are available and there's a small road (with dead end) besides the pond area that is also good to drive and watch the birds and come back the same way to join the main road. Have visited twice and seen many birds like tundra swans, canada geese, snow geese, many ducks, red winged black birds and much more. Good for some quiet time, one can eat packed lunch in the car while watching the birds. Beautiful.

What a wonderful place to visit! Though there were no geese while I was there (which I find quite humorous), I did see plenty of other feathered friends. The Red-Winged Blackbirds seemed especially curious and friendly, and one came very close to landing in my hand (which, of course, I did not get on video...). There are a few benches here, a very unique shelter, and some informational signs. You couldn't ask for a better area to sit and birdwatch. Two Pokestops here, no gyms.

We had a wonderful experience with the monarch butterfly tagging class. The introductory lecture was so informative! And we had perfect weather today and good guides, for exploring some trails within the goose pond prairie. We were successful in netting some monarch butterflies, tagging them, and having a better understanding of how to preserve these beautiful creatures. This was a birthday celebration for us, and a lovely way to spend it together!

Update I was able to stop back at this location and was able to locate three separate entrances to this area. The main one located on Prairie Lane. A second entrance (Vera & Marshall Browne Prairie) is on Kampen Road just past Insight FS Co-op. The third entrance (The Lapinski - Kitze Prairie) is the original location that I stumbled upon along Goose Pond Road. Address is N1345 (Town of Arlington). There's quite a bit of trails at each location. Sculptures at two of them, A telescope at one, and journaling material at another. Will definitely be coming back in the fall.

Original Post Kind of stumbled upon this little nature preserve. Very small area located just off the road. No parking lot, so you'll have to park along the side of the road. Cool sculpture and a couple of signs giving you some basic information of the area. Overall, a neat little place to visit at least once if you're...
