Izzo's White Barn Winery — Attraction in Town of Aurelius

I have been meaning to write this review for quite awhile (actually for about three years!), and I regret not writing it sooner because I found this place to be a real gem.

I had come to Upstate New York to see a production my friend was directing at the nearby Merry-Go-Round Playhouse in Auburn, NY. On her day off, we explored some of the Finger Lakes area, which she was fairly familiar with having attended Ithaca College as an undergraduate.

In any case, we planned on visiting a few wineries and came to Izzo's White Barn Winery in the early afternoon. The doors were open, but apparently they were celebrating the birthday of the proprietor's matriarch (mother, or perhaps even grandmother). Rather than turn us away, the welcomed us in to the party, gave us plenty of wines to taste and shared in good conversation with my friend and me. We had an absolutely fantastic visit filled with celebration, learning about the local wines, and making new friends.

Now, I know that that we were really lucky to have fallen into this, but I have to say that the owner was super-nice, the wine was great, and the atmosphere was warm and comfortable. I love visiting places that have character and Izzo's White Barn Winery definitely fits that description. I'd enthusiastically recommend it to...

We had our wedding here on June 15th, 2024 and I have nothing but great things to say about this venue. I want to start by saying that Emily at Izzo’s is so incredible she made our day and the time leading up to the wedding seamless. Any question I asked she would immediately respond and she even helped field questions from vendors directly. Emily was so incredibly kind the day of checking up to make sure we were all set and we truly did not have to worry about anything. If I needed help with something she was always there ready to help. The venue itself is so beautiful not only do you have the rustic barn, but also the winery, and there is the backdrop of the pond for the ceremony. I cannot recommend...

What a great place for a small country wedding. Our daughter was married on April 30th. The weather was perfect for an outside wedding. John and his staff were so easy to work with. The lights that decorate the inside of the barn and a few of your own personal touches and what a beautiful venue. John's wife cooked all the food and it was delicious. There were a lot of compliments about the food and how nice the barn setting is. I would recommend this venue to anyone who wishes to have a small country style wedding.
