Great place to relax, nice shelters & beautiful scenery. Also close to bflo ny. There is a winter ski slope with lift. & oldroads blocked for use as trails. Also many wild mushrooms. Do not eat any till you've found there safe.many places to send photos of mushrooms & many books for this region Open 24 hours star gazers will be happy. Very peaceful. Also there is risk golf. &I'm in only one section of the park. X-country skiing can't forget that. Mike I'll also stay all night for photos of stars, and animals.THIS IS IMPORTANT THE PARK IS OPEN FROM DAWN TILL 9:00PM IN OCTOBER IS CHANGES FROM DAWN TILL 7:00PM. I've camped there many times till 05/19/21 3 sheriffs they were nice. Then later the park head said I have to leave 9:30pm. I had to pack up every thing and leave Google no nice words from him. Read moreEmery park is a beautiful place. The primary reason for my visits is admittedly for the Black Diamond disc golf course. The course itself is very nice, with a long first hole down the ski slope, with woods on either side and opens up to a field for the basket. The rest of the front half is a nice hike through the woods as you play. The back nine opens up more and you can really let loose and still enjoy the scenery.
Even if you don't play disc golf, it's still a beautiful place to hike and explore. There are pavilions and playgrounds for kids.

I wasn't sure what to expect, but it's a beautiful place with ravines and hills and even a little waterfalls (though they were frozen the day I went). Little stone buildings and wood park pavilions are spread throughout and then a disc golf course winds through the woods. One thing for hikers is that the trails don't seem to really be marked in any way, so you sort of just have to wander along them... But it's hard to get too lost because there are a few park roads that run through that you can follow to find...
