Read moreCame here 3 or 4 times as a Lawrence University student in the early 2000s. It's a lovely place with rooms that are dormitory-style but very comfortable, a huge common room, and grounds which include the lakefront and the forest. You can spend quality time with your classmates and profs or sneak off to relax as you wish. The food was very good every time I was there.
If you're a student they make you help set the table, wash up, serve food (in rotation) and clean your room when you leave which I think is a good way to keep the number of staff down and make some kids a bit more...

Lovely, rustic paths, beautiful views of Lake Michigan, and within walking distance of Baileys Harbor.
