Excellent experience here, truly a joy. Note that pets are not permitted here - that would be a big disappointment if you make a long drive and have an eager dog. The SNA is free to visit though, and I would definitely recommend it. It's not a super long hike and very accessible.

Great mix of white pine, spruce, and balsam fir make for a beautiful and fragrant atmosphere, with a pleasantly springy walking surface. After about a mile or so you'll come across the homestead and plaque. Keep going through the woods to see the kiln and the south trail that follows Moonlight Bay for another 1/2 mile or so. Very tranquil location and very beautiful.

Note - to access the hiking trail, turn down Ridges Rd. and drive almost exactly 1 mile. On your left there will be a normal street sign for Toft Point Rd. - follow that for about .2 miles and you'll find the trailhead. It's easy to miss and your audio directions won't pick it up as it's not listed. If you get to the fork in the road you've gone too far. There are only 5-6 parking spaces, so be...

I really enjoyed my hike here. It was a little tough to find. Just to drive on Ridges road until you see Toft point road on the left where you'll stumble across a road that's the size for one car that is the entrance and exit with a very small parking lot. It is a little bit of a hike from the parking lot to get to where the cabins and bay are but it is entirely worth it.

I absolutely loved the variety of wildflowers with lots of birds along the trail. It's worth lots...

Absolutely beautiful park with a lot of great trails that go alongside the water. Spent about two hours walking and we didn't even finish, had to turn back before it got dark. Lots of old buildings with markers showing the history of the location. The only negative is that the wrong address is listed, you need to take Toft Drive which is a blink and you'll miss it gravel driveway. They should add a road sign noting the park.

No cost for entry but only four...

We really enjoyed walking around this SNA. It has good history, beautiful woods and views of water, historic buildings, some old growth trees, and easy walking trails. Be sure to watch for Toft Point Rd as your driving down Ridges Rd, it'll be a small easy-to-miss gravel driveway on your left. Small parking lot. About 3/4 mile down the trail you will start to see some historic buildings. There aren't any bathrooms.

My dog took me for a walk through this wildlife area . what a great place to just walk stop and listen. I do have a question though I found a meta box back in . I parked on a small parking lot on the south side walked through the woods to the north side of the peninsula close to the Shoreline I'm wondering if anybody can tell me what it is or what it was used for
