Excellent experience here, truly a joy. Note that pets are not permitted here - that would be a big disappointment if you make a long drive and have an eager dog. The SNA is free to visit though, and I would definitely recommend it. It's not a super long hike and very accessible.
Great mix of white pine, spruce, and balsam fir make for a beautiful and fragrant atmosphere, with a pleasantly springy walking surface. After about a mile or so you'll come across the homestead and plaque. Keep going through the woods to see the kiln and the south trail that follows Moonlight Bay for another 1/2 mile or so. Very tranquil location and very beautiful.

Just to drive on Ridges road until you see Toft point road on the left where you'll stumble across a road that's the size for one car that is the entrance and exit with a very small parking lot. It is a little bit of a hike from the parking lot to get to where the cabins and bay are but it is entirely worth it.
I absolutely loved the variety of wildflowers with lots of birds along the trail. It's worth lots...

Lots of old buildings with markers showing the history of the location. The only negative is that the wrong address is listed, you need to take Toft Drive which is a blink and you'll miss it gravel driveway. They should add a road sign noting the park.
No cost for entry but only four...
