Absolutely jaw dropping place. Haven't seen something this beautiful since I have returned home from the mountains out west. It was interesting to learn how the word "Moquah" is actually a misinterpretation of the Ojibwe word for bear "makwa" which I learned at this site. Keep preserving this great area to the makwa keep coming back for those berries!

Always have loved the area and it's surrounding areas, but forestry is destroying it and both forestry and DNR have allowed it to be turned into a play ground instead of the natural wild life area it once was and have no clue they are destroying it. 3rd generation out there and it will never...
