Such a Welcoming Environment... LOL The short version of this review is; you do NOT run a golf course like a banquet hall or restaurant. They are not remotely the same kind of business or clientele. The longer version goes like this; "Hi I'm here to check in for my tee time, as my note in my booking online said, we do have four" "Oh, well we paired you with another couple" "I'm sorry you did what??" "You only paid for two" "Yeah your online system (unlike literally everyone else) doesn't allow me to book four without paying for four" "Yeah we have a lot of cancellations" "OK explain to me how that's my problem, I paid for two and noted that I'd have four." "Well you should have called" "Why would I do that when I can book online?? NOWHERE said you would pair me with some rando..." "Yes it does, it says it on our website..." (other worker, interjects) "Actually it doesn't on the..." (Manager) "Yes it does." (me again) "This isn't a common practice, you can't just do this without being crystal clear" "It is, I can't make people read." "NOT AROUND HERE IT ISN'T LADY AND ARE YOU @#$% KIDDING ME RIGHT NOW???" "Well we can get you out an hour from now" Anyway, the conversation boils down to the fact that it actually DOES NOT, anywhere on the BOOKING site, which you get linked to immediately from their home page, not their "three pages of golf bylaws because they're obsessed with RULES" page, say you MIGHT get paired. It's not my responsibility to comb your entire website to make sure I'm not going to be surprised with a random pairing even though I wrote in the little field for notes that I'd have a full four. "Oh we don't show anything there." Well great so that's broken too; not my fault and also stop being greedy on one of the busiest golf holidays of the year. Good gods. Back to the original point... Golf is not a Venue. Golf is not a wedding hall. Golf is not a restaurant. However, this course has a Venue/Wedding/Restaurant manager running their pro shop and thus is creating one of the most uninviting, unwelcoming atmospheres I've ever experienced. "No, No, No" signs literally everywhere. Pay in full policies. Greedy pairing which, again, no one else does; the only time I've been paired (and expected it) was when I had that dirt cheap "membership" up north of Holmen back in 2018-2020 and that was because it was up-front explained as part of the initial deal. Just ridiculous and unnecessary on a day-to-day basis. And then to argue with me about all the things *I* should do differently in order to give them $75 for 9 holes (plus all the money spent on drinks and food, our combined spend was easily over $300) is not how you run a course. Non-refundable deposits and a laundry list of "No" policies are for the other side of the parking lot (the venue). Until they hire an actual pro shop manager I doubt anything will change because Millennial Karen thinks everything she's doing is perfectly fine. I'm sure it is, for the rest of their businesses. When your Golf Pass review score is 1.9/5 you might want to reevaluate your approach. And maybe take a training class on "soft skills" while you're at it.

I grew up In Salem and had been going across the street for decades. As the other “legendary” establishment dwindled, we began to eye up Fox Hollow for fish on Friday’s. We are not entirely converted and make this place a weekly stop when we are in the area during the summer months. If you love Friday Fish, Go here! If you love a sense of community, go here. If you like popcorn with your Ole Fashioned, go here. On another note, the golf course is excellent and very well maintained. We have played many rounds here in the past.

Well maintained course with a great clubhouse that offers the best variety of beer I’ve seen—including Three Floyd’s Zombiedust. The food and staff are great. There is a jukebox with a phone app, so you can easily control your environment in a few clicks. Oh, and there’s WiFi. What more can you ask for?

First I will start out with I visited this place for breakfast bingo and I was one of the first to come into the servers section. I ordered coffee while waiting for some friends. More people came in and sat in the same server section. They all (about 3 tables) got their bloody Mary’s before my 20 min later coffee came. The sever was pleasant and nice at the beginning. When the rest of my party came we waited for her to come back to our table, she didn’t, she was at the bar chit chatting with a customer, I went and asked her if we can order, she said oh yes sorry. I went back to the table and we waited for her till she finished her conversation at the bar. After she took our order we waited about an hour for the food which was fine because they were packed. After our food arrived she never came back to the table for refills unless we flagged her down. It seems since we didn’t order alcohol we weren’t worth her time. After bingo we went to pay, my bill was wrong as I ordered all sides which was three side eggs scrambled and a side of toast, coffee, and a side of salsa, she charge me for two egg meal and just eliminated the meat and the potatoes which the meal is 9 dollars with coffee mine should’ve been 7 dollars, on the first bill she did not charge me for the salsa which there is no charge on the menu nor did she say there was a charge when I asked for it. When I told her my bill was wrong her attitude changed as if this is an inconvenience for her and she stated rudely she can change it I said thanks. She changed it out in front of me and walked away. This time she charged me for two eggs and the toast and coffee like normal BUT this time she charged me 1.50 for a small side of salsa. Ridiculous, I’m sorry I even tipped her. I will give this place another chance but will not be sitting at her section. Her service was horrible and...

1 star in honestly generous. I went to this place which came recommended for my bachelorette. My maid of honor was kind enough to call and email weeks before hand to be able to have the best practice for correct tee times to have with a group of 9. They were all aware of us coming and knew how this was going to pan out. We were told to book separate tee times so we booked from 11:04-11:28 we all promptly showed up at 10:45… checked in and immediately were greeted with disrespect. As we were lining up to begin to tee off then we were told that we needed to rent clubs because one person was planning on sharing clubs with someone else who they were in fact riding with and we were informed that it was on the website, which was not clearly written on the website or easily accessible to see. Also we did in fact see people sharing clubs play out multiple times while we were on the course. Once we began we believed that we would be able to play and enjoy our day. We were in the middle of our 9 holes we were playing and got followed by a worker who notified members that they needed to skip a hole not noticing that we were piled up waiting for others in front of us. Honestly terrible experience and as the bride and someone who runs operations, I can not stress enough how you greet and continue to run the large group of people will set the tone. I would give 0 stars no one in my party had a good experience with any of the staff except from the bev cart girl and bartender who were beyond amazing. I will never recommend this place for a group larger than 2. So disappointed and beyond...
