The Columbian Hall — Attraction in Town of Barton

I called to place a perch take out order at 4:35pm on Friday, received a voicemail. So I left my name and phone number. Never received call back. So at 4:45pm I phoned back and was able to give my order, which was 2 perch dinners. I was told order wouldn't be ready until 6:10pm. I get to the hall at 6:00pm. As I wait people came in and left with orders. After half hour I go back up and ask for my order at 6:35pm. The guy comes out and tells me the perch is sold out!!! Seriously, I don't believe they had any intention of letting me know. Plus I see them still bringing perch out to people who are sitting inside. Also with covid-19 they do not have social distancing for seating, bar was full, tables are right next to each other, plus face masks were not being enforced. I happen to have 3 autoimmune disorders plus I'm older, that's why I do carry out and I was made to stand in there waiting for my order. ...

We have gone here before and found the fish fry was excellent. It included a rather nice salad bar that included a Greek, and green salad choice, along with a pasta salad and numerous other choices. Well evidently they changed the catering company and NOT FOR THE BETTER! The prices went up and gone was the quality, and amount of choices on the salad bar. The fish was still tasty but the value wasn't there. I know there are way better fish fry out there for $19 dollars they charged. I don't think change was good in this case. I had my wedding reception here and was very pleased with everything. I wanted simple and inexpensive, and this place more than came through. They have strict decoration rules, which was more than fine with me because I didn't want big and extravagant. My mother wanted to decorate more than she was allowed, but I was totally happy with the simple decorations we had.
