I am going to give five stars because I absolutely love walking around the flea market but the only downfall is the prices are usually really ridiculous. This past opening weekend flea market flip was there filming so the prices were even more ridiculous than ever. Even things I normally purchase were at least a dollar to $3 more than normal. Really ridiculous and annoying that people do that. I like the two days show however the garage sale one day show is my favorite because you get more realistic prices for things. It is a great Market to find things you are looking for especially one-of-a-kind items. One area is filled with newer stuff such as makeup crafts and even homemade Goods. The other area is filled with all antiques. Antique area has some great old signs and vintage items. You can find just about anything here from metal signs to toys to Home Goods and everything in between. There are a variety of different food trucks that sell breakfast sandwiches, french fries, grilled cheese, hot dogs and hamburgers and other things such as that. Also plenty of lemonade stands and pretzel stands. The only bathrooms are a few rows of porta potties which typically don't have a wait and are usually right in the middle. The parking is free and there is plenty of parking. They are typically open at least an hour before they say they are so I like to get there very early in the morning to shop. I would suggest wearing comfortable shoes because it is a lot of walking on dirt roads and grass fields. In my opinion it is a great way to spend a Saturday or Sunday walking around enjoying the items and grabbing some food. I've even sold there once or twice and it is not bad. You get a decent amount of customers especially in the summer. It truly is a great Market to find just about anything. It is definitely one of my top favorite flea markets especially when they are reasonably priced. Overall a great Market in my opinion. Good spot for people who like newer things as well as older things. If I could offer any advice it would be to get there very early before they open otherwise you will be sitting online for at least an hour to two hours just trying to get in to the...
Read moreThe years have not been kind to the Stormville Airport Flea Market. Once a haven for value priced gems of antiquity and novelties of nostalgia, the SFM has now deteriorated to a slurry of bargain bin Chinese knock off goods, dollar store reject garbage, and overpriced food.
"But Eff" you may say, "there's still antiques too! Lots of them!" And you'd be right. However 95% of the antiques that aren't out and out garbage -which definitely has its uses too, I almost never pass up old tools that are of some use and priced rightsomeone didn't want themsomeone essentially threw them away
Read moreI love this flea market for it's special vendors and variety. It is a comic book lovers dream between finding the movies and so many comic book tents. For those that love to look for older video games, and look for blu-rays, and collectors magazines like old ones on film, they got that too. The issues are that there are only portal pottys and they are horrid, with people writing in them too like nonsense political stuff.PLEASE GET BATHROOMS. The portal pottys are stifling in the heat, and the sink outside ran out of water. Yes there is sanitizer but it would be nice to have a regular sink. The bathrooms should have writing proof walls so people can't write stuff on the walls. Also.... My Mom's car got stuck in mud in the grass going west. There needs to be a fence that goes before the mud. We were stuck in the heat for maybe two hours but nice people came and helped us. Also the flea market needs more cold foods for when it is hot. Maybe get a huge indoor building built? Always a great flea market itself when it comes...
