Beartown Ski Area Inc — Attraction in Town of Beekmantown

Beartown really is a gem and glad it has not really been discovered. Investment has gone in so now 2 T bar and similar lifts. Broad and extremely well groomed slopes allow a really nice few hours skiing. If you are an expert, want to race and do moguls, not the place to go. If you want a really charming day out with like minded folks, go and be charmed. Really friendly amenable staff. Now, or newly discovered, but not used this trip, cross county trails. Well done Beartown, good job in making this a great place to ski...

You simply can not beat a hometown slope. The hospitality and fun you get here is top-notch in comparison to other slopes. Staff are all super friendly and helpful. The price is amazing, and I love that they also support us in the Armed Forces with a small discount (of which i always use the difference for some hot chocolate and a chocolate bar). They do a great job at grooming the slopes and keeping everything running.

If you are a beginner or intermediate, start here before paying absurd money...

This place has been a huge part of my childhood and into middle age. I learned to ski here and the hill is perfect for first timers. They have racing for kids as they become more advanced skill wise. You can also rent the facility for parties where you can use the hill to sled. It's 15min from plattsburgh so it's so close and it has other trails for snowshoe and cross...
