Forest Beach Migratory Preserve — Attraction in Town of Belgium

If you are looking for a quiet place where you can stroll through nature, this is it. The preserve is huge. I've been there several times this winter, and I haven't encountered anyone else on my walks.

In the summer, it will be a little busier, but still very peaceful, as there is plenty of room for everyone to spread out.

There is beach access. Just follow the posted signs. You will have to pass a private residential area to reach the beach, so be respectful. But it's worth the walk to see...

The Milwaukee lights are still present in the southern horizon, however, the large parking lot and isolated location offers astronomy lovers and telescope users. A very open field of view in all directions and a stable base for mounts. Not many cars cars venture past this point in the midnight hours. Waste of time. I'm traveling from Michigan and was looking forward to taking in the local scenery but wasn't able to because this place doesn't allow dogs. Ridiculous!
