To whom is may concern,
I don't live in NY so I've never been to your center, however, a photo is floating around on how you house your bearded dragon, Pedro, and it is all wrong. Adult bearded dragons need a MINIMUM of 40 gal (my adult is in a 120 gal), the lighting is all wrong... those hammocks are terrible for their nails, etc. This concerns me since you are in fact a nature center that teaches people about these creatures and their care yet you yourself, are not providing proper care or enrichment for said creature. I'm making this review not to be angry or slander any other good work you may be doing, but because I'd hate for others to get the wrong impression on how to care for an animal, get an animal and not give them a proper chance at life. I'm also worried about the other creatures you may have and what those enclosures look like, after seeing this one. I encourage you to do more research on bearded dragons, and any other animal you may have in your care so that they can not only have the best chance and life in captivity, but also so your knowledge and and lessons will actually be valuable and rewarding for not only the animal but for future nature and reptile lovers or...

They would h ave been better off getting smaller pumpkins, so all kids could enjoy. The only two things for kids too do, were too get their face painted and the hay ride, which was almost filled up for the 3 pm ride, which was the last one. We just gave our tickets back and left, but we did feel bad for the other people still driving in. They did offer too give us money back for Our tickets, but it was for a good cause and our grandson goes there several times in the nice weather anyhow, so we donated them back. I was really glad too see them give them too people, rather than...
Read moreThis place is a hidden gem, designed for children and animal loving adults. The animals all have names with a small amount of reading about each one. We enjoyed checking out the tree house and the displays of taxidermy. The gift shop had plenty to choose from. Outside, the aviation allowed us to get close to some large birds. Lots of native plants decorated the area. There were a couple of trails. We tried the small sensory trail and found deer tracks. Bring your lunch and eat at one of the picnic areas. Tanglewood is right around the corner from the soaring museum and the nostalgic amusement park. It would be easy to make...
