I really enjoyed this place. They've got a wide range great assortment of things to check out, from all eras in aviation history. You can scour old photographs alongside plane blueprints, right next to the actual body of the plane or helicopter itself. It's especially thrilling to see how aviation has gone through fits and starts in it's inception, into the wonderous mechanism of cutting edge technology we have today. The staff are very friendly and it's a great place for kids, field trips and aviation enthusiasts of all ages. The outdoor attractions boast real retired bombers and Vietnam and earlier era helicopters and paramedic ambulance units. It's really thrilling. If you're a flight simulator enthusiast, go right to the Boeing 727 and fly to where-evers-ville. You'll certainly get a soft impression of what actual flight entails. Some of the staff are particularly kind in letting one fly in it till their heart is content: just be polite, make sure there aren't massive field trips scheduled and have at it. Most importantly, the suggested price is extremely reasonable and towards the noble cause of letting future generations visit the museum and cherish the relics of yesteryear. They have a Mars exhibit, Jr. Flight simulators and a crop of new emerging add on to the museum that are of good enjoyment to the younger ages. You might even run into real pilots who can talk circles about the good old days of flying in the Air Force, and those are the special connections that bridge any age range together. Very community oriented and truly worth it's salt, come and...
Read moreJust had a sneak preview of the new Mars Base Eagle Exhibit at Wings of Eagles and did a Mars escape room experience—WOW! This new Mars gem is an incredible addition to this museum! You get to “travel to” Mars and explore a simulated Mars colony that was developed by leading NASA Mars experts and super-creative volunteers. Included in the exhibit are science and engineering interactive’s for ALL ages—even includes a cool Mars playroom space for toddlers and young elementary kiddos. This is a one-of-a-kind interactive and immersive Mars exhibit, and museum admission (which includes the new Mars exhibit) is only $7 for adults, $4.50 for youth under 17, and kids under 6 are free! And the escape rooms that are embedded (and hidden) in this awesome Mars exhibit are professionally engineered and very challenging! This place is a great vacation destination and super local entertainment spot—a must-go...
Read moreIt's not giant, but this is a great aviation museum. Yes lots of photos (with written description/naritive) but unlike most places, lots of please touch me/hands on stuff. Lots of static displays (fighter jets to motors and engines, and a Huey you can get in). This includes a number of flight simulators (with volunteers to help you use them) up to a actual operating 727 simulator (yes it moves, yes you can fly it). New addition is a Mars colony simulation with lots of hands on stuff. It is still being worked on. This is a great place to bring kids! Looking forward to going back with more time to spend. The workers are great folks and...
