Came here with family for EAA Airventure. It was nice to see a good size turnout for the crowd and planes. I can't speak of when it's not this week but even with the traffic, that kept everything well maintained and cleaned up. They also had pontoon boats giving rides and tours during the Airventure week, which was nice to get a closer look at some seaplanes and a little back story on things. Read moreThis is one of the many gems at Oshkosh. Too hot walking grounds? Go to Seaplane base! Very shaded, busses take you there in a short 15 min ride that's scenic actually -(cost is $3.00). Lots of seaplane's anchored there. You can sign up for the pontoon boat ride and they will give you a bit of narration in and around the large pond there. Good food too with lots picnic tables, shade and plenty of portapotties! NEVER, EVER miss this...
