The Blenheim Covered Bridge is a beautiful and historic covered bridge in Schoharie County, NY. At 210 feet it is the longest clear span wooden bridge in the entire world! The original bridge that sat here was washed away by Hurricane Irene in 2011. This bridge is a rebuild, but it is still impressive. There is a parking lot located right by the bridge. From the parking lot it is easy to walk right to the bridge. You will see markers for the old bridge with an American flag in between them. Then you walk the bridge right over the top of the Schoharie Creek. The bridge has a right lane and a left lane. At the opposite end of the bridge there is a nice view to be had. You can walk on either lane of the bridge without any problem. When you're done on the bridge there is also an old school house located here. This is a local landmark which brings in a small but steady stream of people everyday. When driving through this area it is a can’t miss. It is an easy and relaxing place to spend a...
