An easy to moderate hike with a nice view of Lake George at the end. Trail is fairly wide, easy to follow, and well marked. Fairly large parking lot that can fit many cars. A nice hike in the Lake George area! Some other nearby hikes like Black Mountain, Buck Mountain, Cat Mountain, and Prospect offer better views of Lake George. However, the Pinnacle was not as crowded and a far easier hike than most other mountains nearby.

There’s a very spacious parking lot so there’s no need to be parking on the side of the road. Easy hike as the trail is clear and marked well. Perfect day to be out enjoying the views!!! The lookouts provide expansive views, including (from left to right) the #Tongue Mountain range#Narrows#Shelving Rock#Buck Mountain#the Town of Bolton#Dome Island#the Bolton Conservation Park#Trout Lake#and much more. lakegeorge.com

Very nice trail system right near Bolton Landing, NY. Good size parking area with easy access to trail. Trail to top was a little over a mile, with a couple of steeper rocky sections, nothing too difficult. Views of Lake George from top are spectacular!

Beautiful views! Less than an hour each way. The blue trail is easy/moderate and good for most ages. I prefer the blue trail here. The red trail has a part that is steep and rocky with loose pebbles. You need to really watch your step and it is a bit dangerous for that stretch. It is also precarious on the way down those rocks/pebbles. I find the red trail stressful and prefer laid-back hikes so I like the blue trail and recommend that if you have kids, seniors, or anyone with knee issues etc...
