Foxhole Winery was a pleasant surprise. We didn't know what to expect, as we had not been there before, and it said it's a Farm Winery. We were in the Hamburg area and it wasn't going to take long to get there, so we decided to check it out. It is set back a ways from the road, and the buildings exterior is naturally graying from being weathered. There is parking off to the right, with some farm gear near by (trailer, implements etc.). Definitely a country vibe. We walked through the outdoor seating area and into the large indoor space, that was clean and inviting. The "guest bartender" for the day was Todd (who it turns out is one of the owners). He was super friendly. The customers seemed to be a mix of locals / regulars as well as others like us, who were just venturing out to find something new. Todd poured us a couple samples and I settled on one I liked. They also have guest wines from Glenora, beers and mixed drinks featuring Albany Vodka. Todd makes a good vodka tonic / soda. They had slushies and popcorn too ($2 free refills). There is a gift shop off to the side and deck out front overlooking a pond with a large white church as the backdrop. There were no goats like we saw in the pics the day we went (Todd said too small to bring up front). However there was a pen with a half dozen small pigs in it. We stopped in back to check them out. Cute but muddy, They seemed to enjoy seeing visitors. We found our trip here to be relaxing and fun. If you like County / County music, this location would be a great fit. Their restrooms had a couple funny signs and the men's had some toiletries to use if needed (Sandalwood etc.). The women's room had a feature great for "besties". Side by side toilets (no wall). Of course you could use as a single too (just lock the door), but if you really need to go and you're traveling with your girlfriends, they seemed to like the feature. Check out Foxhole if you are out that way. It was different than places we have generally been too, but that made our visit more interesting!

Diamond in the rough. It's a bit of a drive from most places but it is worth it. Very open space to enjoy with a small group or even a party, a lot of outdoor room and indoor seating available. Two bullshooter dart boards with online capabilities and a pool table. The Bar staff was top notch and drink selections were excellent! Good beer selection and very very tasty wine as well. If you're looking for an out-of-the-way place to enjoy peaceful countryside and have some fun at a bar this is the place to go.

What a lovely little winery right on our doorstep. Had absolutely no idea the place existed and we pulled up on their 1 year anniversary. The decor is lovely, nice mix between modern and rustic and the outdoor Adirondack chairs were lovely with a very tranquil feel. Ladies loo was hilarious - see pic Definitely recommend their sparkling Chardonnay, perfect on a hot summer-like afternoon. Didn't eat. Food isn't geared towards vegetarians, but that's my decision and not their problem

Sampling local wine is our hobby so you can be sure this is an honest review. We heard about them from family. Foxhole Farm is a definite yes! From the generous pores to give you a true flavor taste to the owner who is also the wine maker right on site to give you great information, Foxhole Farm Winery is one of our local gems. We found our wine guide a perfect blend of information and low pressure choosing. You are surrounded by a high end establishment with attention to detail contained in a Farm thought. (sorry...no farm animals to pet or smell), just a beautiful location and view! There are wines made by Foxhole Farm as well as all NYS made achohol and cocktail choices available. Plenty of seating inside and out. This is our top suggestion for any of the Southtowns wineries. Visit, taste, savor, relax, and of course...buy and support our local NYS courageous...

This property parallels a gas line. It’s a nice place to day drink. After day drinking, I went into the bushes within the utility easement to…shall we say relieve the effects of day drinking…

A man I presume to be an owner came out enraged. He cussed me out, threatened to assault me, and also threatened me with a gun (thought those were nearly illegal in New York State). He also accused me of being on his property. The utility easement actually belongs to the gas company, presumably NYSEG. Would you like to day drink at a business with staff of this...
