A lovely vineyard at Barneveld. They make both red and white wines. Only the reds are mostly using the grapes from their vineyards. The whites are grapes they get from elsewhere and turn into wine themselves. Cozy setup, fun little shop with wine and other goodies for purchase. The patio with tables and umbrellas is where they have live music and events at times. Sangria today was nice and refreshing. While they have few food things for purchase they don’t have food like cafe food for purchase. Everyone, including us brought their own snacks. You can basically have a picnic and buy some wine. Other tables were enjoying the sangria and some had bottles. People of all walks of life. Plenty of parking for cars and motorcycles. They take cash and cards. This review is not a review of their wines, it’s more for the entertainment and activity aspect. This place makes for a mini trip and experience in this lovely area. Go, discover and enjoy!

Looking for something to do while out in southwest Wisconsin four of us got to Botham Vineyards for the first time. We lined up at the tasting counter, and for ten bucks we sampled them all. Our sommelier was knowledgeable and personable. From the store we bought some pre-packaged charcuterie and snack, paid for a few bottles of their wine and headed to the patio. The sunny patio on the south side of the building is a nice scene. Plenty of tables and chairs, very comfortable. Pro tip? Seemed like the regulars brought their own snacks and food to the patio. A better choice than what’s available in the store.

We had a very nice afternoon at this winery. We love Mom and Pop businese and this place is very down to Earth and friendly. Service is offered with a smile and informative. We really enjoyed the wine tasting and the prices were very reasonable. 3 free, 6 for $5 or all 12 for $10. Of course we did all 12 and found several that we liked. We eneded up buying 4 bottles and drank a couple of them while we were there. The owners let you bring your own snacks which is always a great idea. We highly recommend this winery over the more commercialized operations. Thank you, Joel/Roy

The grounds are nice, and the people working were great - this review is, however, a review of the wine itself. I have tasted and toured wines around the world and keep a well stocked supply at home, and so I feel as though I have a well developed palate when it comes to wine. I would use words such as "flat", "shallow", and "boring" to describe all of the wine from Botham. I did a tasting with my wife and we went through the entire selection available and were both soundly disappointed in what was poured - each wine seemed less robust than the one before it and at the end of it all we were happy to leave without any bottles in hand.

Perhaps, with time, they...
