Bakewicz Farms — Attraction in Town of Brookhaven

I had the best time here! The weather was perfect :) the food selection was pretty good for a farm. First, let me start off by saying that on this particular day I went there were vendors selling different things from mugs, chains, baskets, nail supplies, tumblrs and even the teachers credit Union was present. My favorite vendor has to be the North Fork Oyster Company. Let me say I ordered 6 oysters to share between myself and my husband but it wasn’t enough. The owner made their own special cilantro/scallion sauce in addition to providing calamari and hot sauce as well and lemon juices and other various condiments. The oysters were fantastic; superb to be exact. I had to go back and order another half a dozen again to enjoy. The owners were friendly. If you have kids, this dark is perfect for you. There’s so much stuff going on. You can do pony rides, ride the kids’ or adult tractor ride around the premises and even get your face painted and finishing your Halloween pumpkin picking while you’re at it :) The store in front offers freshly baked pies, jams, and salsas as well. The pumpkin ale was super refreshing and delicious. If you love animals, there’s always the animal farm as well! I highly recommend visiting this farm as you will definitely find something or everyone...

We’d been here before with our son to play and always had a great time. We decided to have his 3rd birthday here too!

Marianne was an absolute pleasure to work with, so friendly and accommodating and easy to work with. We thought we’d be rained out and she was nothing but helpful and willing to move our times around if needed, thankfully we didn’t!

Every kid had such a great time. They have so many different play grounds and things for the kids to do on top of the animals and feeding and petting them. Their dogs were the highlight everyone loved playing fetch with them and loved how attentive they were to the kids. When we first arrived it was just me and my son. I began setting up as he played and one of the dogs, Junior, followed him from play set to play set I always knew where he was, so cute!

If you’re looking for a low maintenance, affordable, loads of fun birthday party this is the place!! We will definitely be back in the future. Thank you Marianne for a great day!!!

It’s a very cute little farm and admission is reasonably priced compared to the other places ($6 per person). However, we went yesterday and were swarmed by bees. I don’t mean a few bees here or there which you fully expect at a farm. I mean each of us was being followed by 5+ bees at all times and they were actually landing on us. The bees were much worse by the animals which was so disappointing because my daughter loves them and they had some adorable baby goats. We had planned to spend a few hours at the farm but after 15 minutes we couldn’t take it anymore and had to leave and saw many other families doing the same. I’ve heard other people rave about this place and never mention the bees, so I’m not sure if it’s just this time of year or if this is a regular...
