Such an awesome spot! My friend and I had a picnic with my son and my dog. Definitely a dog friendly place, which was really nice to be able to bring him along. Lots of dogs there on walks! I’d say avoid bringing your pup if they gain to be people or dog reactive, because there’s definitely a lot of both say this park. But my dog has a great time meeting a few friendly pups, and we really enjoyed our picnic! Everyone that went by loved to see my dog and how well behaved he was, which was nice to know no one was bothered by us. Parking was very easy, as the night went on they were doing a concert which filled the parking lots up a lot so something to be mindful of during summer....

Downside is you need to be a town resident to park at the doc. There are other parking options nearby if you don't mind a ~5minute walk.
Only 4 out 5 stars because :
people that are fishing/crabbing can get on the way (and could do a better job of cleaning after themselves) can be a little dirty at time so you need to be careful if you sometimes the water can smell fishy and be dirty (but it can also crystal clear and have no smell)
Besides the stated above, can't go wrong with this place as long as you are dressed...
Read moreI just went to Shorefront for the first time and I will absolutely be going back. I have a 5 year old and an 8 year old who were just delighted with the pirate themed playground. There are plenty of benches for parents to relax on. IThere is also a putting green and an area for recreational fishing. I had a little trouble finding where to park but if you go down Smith Street, there is a lot which is easily accessible. When the sun is shining and there is a breeze coming off the bay, head to Shorefront for a free fun filled...
