Nice little lake. We kayaked the 3 and a 1/2 mile perimeter. Virtually all of the motor boats on the lake are pontoon boats. We had several young guys on a pontoon boat offer us pina coladas after our kayak. They were excellent! That was the 1st time something like that ever happened...

A wonderful place for kayaking and open swim. Avoid the large flotilla of party barges that inexplicably anchors just off shore of the otherwise idyllic public beach and public boat access on weekends. There has been occasional harassment of swimmers from those aboard...

Such a great lake nestled away in Columbia County. Adams point beach is open to residents of Canaan, but the boat launch is for anyone to use.

I do an open water swim here twice a week and...
