Wintergreen Park is a very special place because you can drive down the steep and winding lane to the bottom of the wooded ravine where you'll find that the Canajoharie Creek has carved deep into the layers of shale to create a wide gorge with towering walls and rippling waters that flow north across the flat bedrock layers gradually downward toward the village of Canajoharie with a small waterfall or two here and there.
