This place is AMAZING! The volunteer staff are incredible and patient with children. Seeing shadows fall across the moon, and Saturn with its various moons through their 20 inch lens was an experience!

Nice observatory and awesome pictures taken from their telescopes. Would come back for the next clear sky 🔭

My girlfriend took me here on my birthday on an open visitation night along with her 3 boys. We had an excellent time, as they moved the telescope to any place we asked them to, and answered all of our questions as best as they could. They were extremely friendly, and very patient with everyone, even if they seemed like silly questions.

All of the volunteers were very knowledgeable, and gave us the impression that they absolutely love what they do.

Near the end of the night, they went though about 50 pictures that they had taken in the past as well as a few that they got from other observatories, and taught us exactly how they take them, and what goes into creating them.

They do have water available for free, but If you donate a little extra money, they even have refreshments that you are welcome to.

Since the moon was out, and was 75% full it was difficult to get some insane views, but that just means that we’ll have to come back on a clear night when...

A must see!. My wife and i were there this past Wednesday and thoroughly enjoyed the visit. Views of the plants Jupiter and Saturn through their telescope were spectacular. Just as impressive as the views were, also were the guys who volunteer there. Their expertise and knowledge was amazing. They took all the time anyone needed to understand the entire aspect of the place and explained in simple to understand terms, despite the fact that they are brilliant. We were guided by Richard, a very impressive gent whose knowledge and information he imparted was worth the visit alone. Thanks guys..we were the early arriving couple...

They had I belive both a 20 and a 30 inch reflective and also a refractive telescope. Also I belive the observatory which is located off wheeler road in frewsburg NY is the highest point in...
