Story Farms — Where Nostalgia Grows Wild and the Strawberries Are Basically Love Letters If a postcard from your childhood and a foodie’s daydream had a baby, it would be Story Farms in Catskill, New York. This charming oasis is tucked into the rolling, postcard-perfect farmland of the Catskills is more than just a roadside stop — it’s a full-blown experience. The moment you step onto the gravel, you’re hit with that feeling — like you’ve been here before, even if you haven’t. It’s the kind of place your grandparents would take you for peaches and pie… except this time, you drove yourself, and you’re hoarding the cookies. Let’s talk produce: The strawberries? Juicy. Plump. Sun-kissed. They taste like summer decided to retire here. The peaches? So sweet and drippy you’ll need a napkin… and a life plan that includes eating more peaches. And don’t even get me started on the zucchini and squash — they’re so fresh, I half expected them to introduce themselves by name. But wait, there’s more. Like any true small-town treasure, they also have homemade baked goods — I snagged a chocolate chip cookie the size of my hand, and yes, I did eat the whole thing in the car. Zero regrets. There are jellies, jams, local honey, and maple syrup so good you’ll start looking for excuses to pour it on everything (Pro tip: it’s socially acceptable on pancakes and bacon). Looking to spruce up your porch or impress your HOA? The greenhouse flowers and plants are thriving, vibrant, and honestly outshining most of us. Plus, if you’re a smoked fish enthusiast — and if you’re not, you will be — the smoked trout is a total sleeper hit. As if all of that wasn’t enough, the backdrop is a literal countryside dream — acres of green, a breeze that smells like hay and happiness, and even some livestock roaming peacefully nearby. It’s like Mother Nature put on her Sunday best just for you. Story Farms is one of those rare places that slows you down in the best way. A perfect slice of Catskill life where you can stock up on farm-fresh goodness, pet a goat if you’re lucky, and leave feeling like your soul’s been hugged. Add this place to your must-stop list. You’ll leave with bags full of produce, arms full of flowers, and a heart full of sweet, sweet nostalgia. “Food that feeds the soul, beauty that speaks volumes, and travel that tells a story always through the eyes of Italy Loves India.” — Alyson Savino IG: Alysonnyc212 #FarmstandGoals #CatskillGems #StrawberryFieldsForever #FarmFreshFinds #StoryFarms #NostalgicNibbles #CookieIsALifestyle #PeachyKeenVibes

Story Farms is a fantastic destination for anyone who loves fresh, locally grown produce. Their fruits and vegetables are always incredibly fresh, picked at just the right time for optimal flavor. The farm itself is beautiful, with cows grazing peacefully across the street, creating a charming and relaxing countryside atmosphere. In addition to the fresh produce, they offer a variety of locally made foods that are both delicious and quickly available, perfect for a quick bite or bringing home something special. The prices are very reasonable, making it easy to enjoy high-quality, fresh food without breaking the bank. Whether you're stocking up on fruits and veggies or enjoying the farm's tranquil setting, Story Farms is a must-visit spot for fresh, locally sourced food.

I reached out to them via Facebook about mushrooms I bought that were infested with maggots and got no response. The mushrooms were fresh and so beautiful but as soon as I started prepping them maggots were oozing out. I went to use them 2 hours after purchase. I bought 2 quarts that I’m sure were over $20 and have not even received a thank you for letting them know the mushrooms they’re selling are no good. I work hard for my money and am extremely disappointed in them for not acknowledging the situation. I gave them days to respond but I’ve been left on read. Just look super closely at the products before purchasing! And I will say the other produce has been great and the people at the stand were lovely!

Of course! Here are a few options for a positive and attractive review for a local farm. You can choose the one that best fits your style or mix and match parts of them. Option 1 (Warm and Heartfelt) Title: An Absolute Local Treasure! This farm is a true gem! I am so happy we found it. The quality of everything they offer is simply outstanding. Their vegetables are incredibly fresh, vibrant, and bursting with flavor—you can truly taste the difference that local, careful farming makes. The sun-ripened tomatoes and crisp lettuce have completely elevated our salads! And you HAVE to try their eggs. The yolks are a beautiful, deep golden orange, and they are the richest, most delicious eggs I've ever had. We also bought one of their chickens for a Sunday roast, and it was unbelievably tender and flavorful. This is more than just a place to shop; it's a wonderful experience to connect with your food and support fantastic local farmers. I can't recommend it highly enough! We will be back every week. Option 2 (Short, Punchy, and Enthusiastic) Title: The Best Kept Secret for Fresh Food! Wow! This place is incredible. If you're looking for the freshest produce, eggs, and chicken, look no further. The vegetables are gorgeous and taste amazing—nothing like what you get at the grocery store. Their farm-fresh eggs will ruin all other eggs for you (in the best way possible!). We cooked one of their chickens, and the quality was top-notch. Do yourself a favor and visit this farm. You won't regret it! Five stars all the way! Option 3 (Foodie-Focused) Title: Unbeatable Quality and Flavor As someone who loves to cook, finding this farm has been a game-changer. The produce is clearly grown with immense care, offering a depth of flavor that is essential for great cooking. The variety is fantastic, and everything from the herbs to the root vegetables has been exceptional. This farm is a must-visit for anyone who values high-quality, delicious, and locally-sourced ingredients. A...

I stopped here with my fiancé on the way home from hiking. We live local now and always looking for places to buy fresh produce and honey. I also like to support local farmers. So, I pick about 5 items since we were in a rush and I wanted to try the place first. I wasn’t thrilled that there were no prices on some items, but how much could they be? I stood over near the check out and waited about 5 mintutes. Put my items on the counter and the older women behind the counter said to my fiance who was standing behind me “ is that all your getting?” She was going to ring him up before me! what the heck!!! He didn’t even want to stop at your overpriced little farm stand!!! I only had 4 items!!! He was holding my 5th item! If I had a cart full and the guy behind me only had one item, then yes. You say, “do you mind if I just ring him up quickly?” Well, never again!! And the apple cider with no price on it..$10 bucks!!! sheesh!! So overpriced! Too bad, you lost my future...
