Davis Park in Chili, NY (Rochester area) is an absolute community cornerstone. That it isn’t just a park, it’s a community hub where you can feel how much pride people take in making it welcoming and fun. I visited during Chili Family Fun Day in the fall (9/27/25), and it was such a fantastic event for kids and families. Child friendly; pony rides, hayrides, bounce houses, cornhole, a kids’ coloring contest, goat feeding, and even a table of free books (which I thought was such a thoughtful touch for families). Everywhere you looked, kids, teens, parents, and older neighbors were laughing and connecting. The live music and doughnut trucks were also nice touches. The event admission and activities were at no cost and open to the public. One of the highlights for me was talking with Tony and his colleague from the Parks Department (Tom, they were running the hayride). Both were incredibly informative and clearly care deeply about the park and the community it serves. It’s rare to see that much pride and passion behind the scenes. Even outside of special events, Davis Park is a wonderful spot. There’s lots of open space, a well-kept playground, and it’s perfect for kids to run around, families to picnic, or just to get some fresh air. If you’re looking for something family-friendly in the Rochester/Chili area, whether a big event like Family Fun Day or just a quiet afternoon, Davis Park is absolutely worth a visit. It’s a place that proves a great park is made even greater by the amazing community behind it.

This is a great park for sports and has a small area for little ones to play on slides and such. Restrooms are available and are very clean. There is a refresment stand that is open during sporting events ie.. the Chili Hot Dog soccer tournament. The lawns are well taken care of here and there are walkways separate from...

Attended the chili recreation halloween event and it was very well run. Socially distanced and a one way path. Several booths all handing out candy and being incredibly fun. When we left the line had tripled in size. It's a nice park with a great playground for kids 2-10 and lots of other amenities I haven't had a...
