What a fabulous way to spend an afternoon and evening! The family farm is just lovely with a great use of the space. Everyone I encountered while there was friendly and welcoming, and all the guest were so respectful of each other while setting up their areas and settling in for a day in the sun. They brought lawn chairs and picnic umbrellas, trade show type tent toppers, frisbees, footballs and soccer balls. All of the children were well behaved while having a great day out playing with family and friends. They have several play areas for kids, including a covered area that looked like a sandbox maybe. We weren't close to it but saw several small children playing there. The artist who provided music starting at 5:30 was a nice choice. Upbeat yet certainly appropriate for the family atmosphere.

The pizza is delicious! I had a calzone and garlic cheese bread and my friend and her daughter split a pizza and garlic cheese bread. The bread comes as cubes with marinara for dipping and they slice the calzone for easier consumption. everything is made fresh. I went through the Blue Barn to use the restroom and the kitchen door happened to be open for a moment. Saw someone working the dough. Yum. I bought a huge rice crispy treat to take home, and my friends split a piece of rhubarb cobbler(?). Both were scrumptious - and yes, they make them both. They have a selection of NA beverages and a separate bar. They sell Wisco Pop! Sparkle which are sodas made in Madison, WI. Never had that before so I tried the strawberry and then the cherry. Just delightful! Very refreshing on a hot day.

I highly recommend Sprouting Acres for anyone looking for a day to picnic at the park but not have to cook or lug coolers of beverages (there are no carry-ins allowed). Definitely reasonably priced. You do pre-order the week before and schedule your pick-up time. And no, you do not have to arrive AT your pick-up time. Go early and stake out your area, bring table games or reading material to relax and enjoy the day. Around your pick-up time, start watching the board for your name. Dinner is served. You CAN do walk-ups but they could run out before you arrive, and the wait times are long due to the pre-orders at reserved times. I was near the order window around 5:15 and a walk-up customer was told it would be between 7 and 7:30. Not necessarily a bad thing if you're spending the afternoon/evening on the farm anyway, just be aware. Read the FAQ section on the website to learn about parking and what you can and cannot bring with you.

Use your GPS (is about an hour and 15 minutes from Oak Creek). It is straight out on I-94 from Milwaukee to Hwy 73. Then it's just about 12 miles straight down 73. There is no Sprouting Acres sign. The entrance is a narrow gravel road with a vertical banner that says "Wood Fire Pizza." If you aren't looking for that, you'll drive right passed.

I hope you enjoy it as...

The few times I've been here the pizza has been outstanding as are the deserts. Some of the other offerings are meh at best, but the pizza and deserts have always been awesome. The venue itself is pleasant and there's plenty of distractions for kids. The stage is adorable with curtains of vines. They've managed to bring in some really good music. There are quite a few tables, picnic tables and chairs, but it doesn't hurt to bring your own to be 100% sure and to be able to more freely pick your music listening, band viewing position.

Bringing a small collapsible table shows you're a pro, as you won't have to balance pizza boxes on your lap or leave them on the ground for nature to explore.

I've never had a bad experience, even with takeout. A great place for a relaxing, vibey weekend afternoon/evening. Highly recommend, but make sure your place your order well in advance; while they have some walk-ins they do sell out of pizza...

Went for our first pizza night and it was great! Lots of space, very friendly staff, good music and the food! Well the pizza was great, fresh farm grown veggies on a wood fired pizza. We had the Special, BBQ chicken, bacon ,veggies with Alfredo sauce and gouda cheese. Delicious. Hubs had the fresh greens salad which was very flavorful. The cucumber salad had good zip to it. The blueberry cobbler was very good, the cobbler part had whole grain and pumpkin seeds in it. I liked it warm, my son preferred cold. Either way go support this great CSA Farm!! Recommend bringing your own chairs, pre order on...

Visiting a pizza farm for dinner has been on my bucket list for several years now. We finally made it to Sprouting Acres Farm Sunday night for Pizza on the Farm! 🍕 The whole experience was so chill. I pre-ordered our wood-fired pizza and salad to be picked up at a specific time. And it was ready about 10 minutes after we arrived. They had several choices, along with appetizers and desserts. Plus they have a bar on site and live music! We brought a blanket to sit and eat on, but they had tables and plenty of seating as well. After enjoying our meal, we tossed the frisbee around in the open grass. And they had outdoor games like Kan Jam, cornhole, and a playground area for kids! Sprouting Acres is hosting pizza nights throughout the summer from 2:00-8:30 pm on the 1st & 3rd Saturdays & Sundays of each month. You can check out the menu online and pre-order your pizza to skip the line. They do take a limited number of walk-ups as well. This is a family friendly experience you won’t want to miss! Beautiful farm with great wood-fired pizza and a fun outdoor environment! Plenty of fun things for the kids to do. We attended one of their pizza nights and it was a wonderful experience, they have a bar with drinks for the entire family, ice cream and cookies for dessert. Bring your own lawn chairs and blankets if you want to guarantee a place to sit. Be prepared to wait if you don’t preorder, they did quote us a time but it took well over that time to get our food. I recommend the preorder option if you can snag one! We can’t wait to go back!
